PBS probably wasn’t expecting the poll numbers they got when they ran a recent poll on gun control. The question asked was: Would you support more restrictions on guns in your state?
The choices were: Yes. Increased regulations on firearms are necessary to prevent another tragedy like the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary.
No. Laws like this unnecessarily punish lawful gun owners and will do little to prevent mass shootings. Unsure. It’s important to keep the weapons out of the wrong hands, but this may not be the solution. The results with over 100,000 votes cast were startling. 95% (nearly 97,000 votes) answered “No. Laws like this unnecessarily punish lawful gun owners and will do little to prevent mass shootings.”

You won’t see or hear of this in their venues of wide spread dissemination. It has already been discounted as meddling by right wing extremists.

Common pattern when the left doesn't get it's way. Another example is the turd in the white house dismissing the Nov elections as people were in favor of his policies, the just did't vote.

The real tragedy is that the “bs excuse” won’t even be publicized. This whole endeavor will just simply disappear and be replaced with one more carefully controlled (as far as those PBS allows to partake). My guess is that in the end, they’ll just make up results to fit their premise.
Why would anybody who is unsure or has no opinion reply to a voluntary poll and why would that category even be an option?
That's because on-line polls are worthless and, yes, of course it was meddled with. While the numbers are on our side, I don't think anyone honestly believes a full 95% of Americans oppose gun control.

I fully realize what you say. It is with the ‘attempt’ at this type of poll the damage has been done. The fact that ‘a poll’ was done (even if faulty and discounted) will be used and then LIED about on PBS to use as “fake but accurate” evidence. They knew, and they have prepared for what happened, and they’ll use it to their advantage.
Centrists pride themselves on being able to see both sides of an issue and are therefore unable to to have an actual opinion of their own.
