An Obamacare Christmas present (Nightmare)

New rules being proposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will give that agency enormous new powers over consumers who use the healthcare.gov website to purchase their insurance.

The proposed rules would allow CMS to automatically renew consumers' policies every year if they don't visit the website to do it themselves. Without any knowledge of an individual's health care situation, their financials, or anything else that might affect what kind of policy they may need, the government wll choose and force you to pay for a policy that they think works best for you.

I often wonder how many more nasty surprises the bureaucrats have in store for us as they continue to write rules governing the implementation of Obamacare.

Low info America sure got Grubered.

We tried to warn them, but we were castigated and sport-shamed by the uninformed media. They have reaped what they have sown.

What’s the big deal? All money rightfully belongs to the feral government anyway.

A woman I know decided to keep her old plan after Obama changed the rules. So, she had to cancel her new Obamacare plan. Turns out it was not possible to cancel it. She told her bank not to honor the drafts. They said that they might not be able to deny payment. She ended up changing banks to stop the automatic payments. In the future that might not be possible because your bank reports your accounts to the IRS

Obamacare is a poor or no service pyramid scheme.
It created a way for people who don't feel the urge to work to get free medical at the expense of the middle class.

They must force automatic signing up of Obamacare even if they give you IRS fine and grab your home, because if they don't have the people they collapse that much sooner.

My wife's insurance went up 300% and my son's who is 6 went up 200% and the out of pocket costs us more than we ever saw before under Obamacare.
I do not have insurance and this next year they will not only fine me, but despite my wife being insured they will fine her income as well because of the rules they wrote to grab money to the treasury.

Don't forget the 4% tax on the sales of homes added to the treasury through Obamacare.

This scheme was to add a new layer of Democrat voting government employees between the people and their insurance.
It is also another way to redistribute wealth.

I think this is going to shrink the hell out of the middle class. If I was insured my monthly bill could rent a small apartment in Beverly Hills. My 2015 Obamacare fine should be well over 2k.It's like having two Federal income taxes.
We were promised to have a $2500 a year savings per middle class family. I think we have had increases of about $7000 a year instead. How is that going to work in our daily family budget?

Yes they do have their freebees. Why earn enough of a wage to pay for yourself.
I know of one neighbor who’s daughter claimed to live alone in their parent’s resident to get on the wefare level of Obamacare. The have bank accounts and a new phone with internet but can’t pay 10 cents toward their own insurance.

I have friends who are doctors and such, but it is impossible out there.
I would have paid cash for small things and had catastrophic insurance for hospitalization.
Now you can get that unless you pay 8k a year with a 12k deductible.

I predict Obamacare is going to cause divorce in order for some to afford the free insurance. It would be more equitable to be divorced under Obamacare because despite who has insurance in the family, the one who doesn't gets the entire family fined on the family income anyway.

We just had an election that was supposed to STOP all this crap. But what did the winning party do? Surrendered, spent a trillion dollars, then went home to celebrate.

If a healthy millionaire lives in an expanded medicaid state, it would be possible for the millionaire to get medicaid if they decide not to generate any income. They could also choose to go on a cost sharing silver plan and pay next to nothing in non medicaid states..

We should remember this, we should not give the incoming Congress the benefit of the doubt but instead deal with them very harshly if they step out of line.
Remember the parable of the Talents and the Evil Husbandmen.

HURRAY! Obamacare with even more convenience.

I can imagine it will be super easy to get the auto renewal cancelled. Just like it was with my old security company or XM. Still, after 5 years, XM bills me for another year and after 5 years of not subscribing they keep saying “It’s an oversight.”
