Sen. John McCain didn’t quite receive a warm welcome when he spoke before a Arizona Republican Party committee meeting Saturday, with several GOP delegates booing and turning their backs on him during his speech.

According to the Arizona Daily Independent, the only members of the audience who showed any appreciation for McCain were a “mostly silver-haired faction” and outside supporters reportedly brought in to cheer him on.

However, some attendees claimed to The Arizona Republic that only a few booed the senator and nearly everyone there seemed to love him. But video and images of the event show a sizable portion of the audience jeering McCain and turning their backs on him.

One delegate even yelled “war monger” at Arizona’s senior senator. Activists also say that the ones who were cheering for him seemed oddly “choreographed.”

It didn't seem choreographed, it was! McCain was not on the program. While we were voting, they filled the balcony with Vietnamese-Americans. Then, Chairman Graham adjourned the meeting for lunch. After enough people had left that they thought the people in the balcony could out shout the remaining delegates, Graham quickly called the meeting back to order. The pastor admonished everyone to remember we were in a house of worship and Graham introduced McCain. In spite of their treachery, there still were enough Committeemen present to make our displeasure known. Graham then chastised us by saying his kids behave better. Then McCain Jr. (Jeff Flake) spoke. If this had been pulled before the vote, Graham would not have been re-elected. McCain wasn't there to speak to us. He was there for optics and to give those opposed to him a big f-u.

It’s always a bad sign when the person introducing you has to berate the audience to “respect the speaker.”

What’s the status of his plan to destroy Tea Party members of the Republican party in Arizona?
