And Now, The Truth (Measles Outbreak)
Market-Ticker ^ | 2/14/15 | Karl Denninger

Posted on 02/14/2015 1:04:01 PM PST by Kartographer

Among the 110 California patients, 49 (45%) were unvaccinated; five (5%) had 1 dose of measles-containing vaccine, seven (6%) had 2 doses, one (1%) had 3 doses, 47 (43%) had unknown or undocumented vaccination status, and one (1%) had immunoglobulin G seropositivity documented, which indicates prior vaccination or measles infection at an undetermined time. Twelve of the unvaccinated patients were infants too young to be vaccinated. Among the 37 remaining vaccine-eligible patients, 28 (67%) were intentionally unvaccinated because of personal beliefs, and one was on an alternative plan for vaccination.

Another thing. Our "herd immunity" was working just fine till Odumbass let the trains in.

What were vaccination rates prior to the last two years? If the rates weren't any higher but the disease had been declared eradicated in the U.S. explain how that works?

“Spread with the help of illegal enablers.”

By sheer numbers, the enablers are the American parents who refuse to vaccinate their children.

There are many even here on FR that having cheap Nannies, gardeners, house cleaners and off the book labors mean more to them the the lives of their fellow Americans’ children.

There are plenty of efforts from wealthier nations to vaccinate against measles.

A potentionally damaging procedure?

As opposed to what?

A potentionally lethal experience ?

My choices are;

My child developes autism

My child potentionally dies ?

Hmmmm ... what to do ... what to do ...

Please cite KNOWN CONFIRMED percentage(s) of autism caused by vaccination

AND

KNOWN CONFIRMED deaths caused by measles

(Regardless of source of infection)

I’m not saying any of that. I just provided the link so that you could see proof that all 50 states provide waivers.
Earlier you had posted:
“Let’s put it THIS way ...
American schools will not accept a child until their shot record is up to date

If things have changed since then, I don’t know about it ... and even if they have ... the greater majority of American kids have been vaccinated, IF for no other reason than that they’re required and for many (welfare types) absolutely free.”

I was showing you that yes, things have changed.

From the article at the link I provided: “All 50 states allow a medical exemption to vaccination (medical exemptions must be approved by an M.D. or D.O.); 48 states allow a religious exemption to vaccination; and 18 states allow a personal, philosophical or conscientious belief exemption to vaccination.”

Just look at this thread can you believe the number of illegal enablers and apologies that are on FR?

I thought measles had been eradicated in the US in 2000. It sure seems a little suspicious that it pops up again after the kids from Central America are allowed to illegally cross our boarder...

THAT IS RACIST!!! /sarcasm

ps
I am a white boy married to a legal Mexican immigrant now a United States citizen that has taught at the University of Houston and worked for defense contractors, earned two univesity degrees in Texas and her father paid for out of country tuition. That is the way it is supposed to work!!!

It confirms that unvaccinated people spread measles and are a form of health hazard to small children.

Statists rise, stamp out freedom, do it for the children.

Oops, sorry, I may have jumped to yet another conclusion ahead of you.

They are foolish and they’ve been sold a pack of lies and they are endangering their children and others.

...and you're foolish with your rights, those right bought with the blood of others, and you're willing to give your our freedom away for a sense of false security.

You will be among the first to invite the socialists to save you, like Austria did, made famous in the the stage play the Sound of Music. The Nazi didn't have to invade, they were invited, by vote, into Austria.

If your government can force medicate you, then they can make you “drink the Kool-Aid”.

Amazing how many conservatives RINO don't understand this.

Confused? If you think a measles vaccination is the way to go, then get out and get vaccinated. Quit worrying about those that do not for what ever reason agree with you.

Let them risk catching the measles. You will be safely protected from the measles if the vaccination works as promised. But does it always work? Maybe yes, maybe no. What if you experience a nasty side-effect like paralysis or worse? The government won’t care either way. You are only a statistic to them.

Big government and too many village experts are trying to control other peoples lives for their own selfish interests. Vaccination is a personal choice. It is about being free to make your own decision and live with the possible outcomes knowing there are risks involved either way you choose. If you are among the very small percentage of the herd that die from the disease or the vaccination itself, I guess you made a bad choice or were just plain unlucky. Again, the government won’t even care to send flowers to your wake.

The bottom line is the rest of the herd, the majority, are going to survive and acquire an immunity to the measles regardless of their decision and the government’s help. But don’t trust the government to make the right decision for you. They might make a bad choice.

At the current rates, very few people will die of measles in the United States, single digits to zero for a given year. What’s really an issue with a vaccinated disease is the flu, which kills at a rate comparable to what polio used to despite mass vaccination.

Quite frankly I agree with Christie, parents need to have input into the decision and benefits and risks must be weighed by them. But vaccinations against mealses and other diseases are safe and effective, and I hardly think that makes me a Nazi.

It was never eradicated in the US. There have been cases every year. (My daughter had the measles in 2001 - she was fully vaccinated, thank you)

Thank you; vaccinations are not the golden solution for everybody.

The statists are always looking for an opportunity to inflict mob rule over our rights and free will.

Vaccination rates in Mexico is a talking point to shut down discussion of imported diseases carried by the mass of illegals thrust among us.

It means very little since those coming illegally into the US are of a demographic that may not have the higher rates of immunization, and may not be from Mexico but points south.
