10 Things to Have Ready before the Huge EMP !!!
Ask a Prepper ^ | Claude Davis

Posted on 04/20/2015 9:54:05 AM PDT by ClaudeDavis

Dr. Peter Pry (Executive Director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security) warns that the consequences - of not being prepared for this event - are much more severe than one may think:

“within a year of an EMP event at least 2 thirds or the us population will perish from starvation, disease and social collapse”

Former CIA double agent (Reza Kahlili) who spent time in the Iranian Army confirmed that the Iranian have conducted missile tests of ships in the Caspian See that are consistent with an EMP attack:

“They are going to get to the Gulf of Mexico with ballistic missiles and they can launch one at a moment’s notice and they wouldn’t care about the repercussions”

Mostly because they can sink the vessel leaving no traces and because the US won’t be able to retaliate!

What if you woke up one morning and nothing worked? What if there was no electricity? What if all transportation came to a halt?

An EMP event would instantly destroy any means of telecommunication, bank account would disappear, planes would fall from the skies, nuclear plants would not be able to cool down the reactors, we would have no running water (water pumps) and every piece of electronics we use from pacemakers to phones to gasoline pumps would stop!

Your refrigerator will stop working and all your food will spoil in a matter of days! If you and your family are not together, you won’t be able to contact or see them.

This is a catastrophic threat and North Korea, China, Iran, Russia and even ISIS… they all understand it and they are all working on it.

It’s is a largely localized issue. If you kick of an EMP over Kansas, it will probably only damage a few things directly under the blast. That’s what the Russians discovered when they actually did it.
I have read that if terrorists take out about 5 transformer stations, they could black out most of California.

There is no such thing as EMP. The resident FR EMP experts will be along shortly to explain.

Diesels can be 100% mechanical, no electronics.

The engines on locomotives are only hooked to a generator, not the wheels. If the generator is damaged, it can be repaired, and with no interconnect, can work isolated from other power sources.

If we have to resort to this stuff, it will be a game changer, but not impossible to handle one step at a time.

[ With all the dead bodies lying around, impossible to bury them all, you can be sure the fatality rate for everyone else would increase exponentially. Disease, contaminated water supply, etc.. ]

I’ve got a sturdy wheel barrow and decent shovel, I plan on making a living burying people after the EMP. I also got a bunch of bio safety gear for that purpose.

Testing has shown that the overwhelming majority of unshielded electronic devices, including vehicles, would fry. There are some theories that some random geographical areas might be spared almost any damage. It is important to note that all nuclear power plants are designed to prevent melt downs in such scenarios.

[ Diesels can be 100% mechanical, no electronics. ]

If they are air start buy a bycycle pump and be prepared to spend an afternoon charging the air tank.

If it is a john deer electric start diesel tractor like an old 4020, park on a hill....

Except for reference to securing your home against looters and a suggestion to watch a video by a veteran in Number 8...there was never any mention of one of the most IMPORTANT items needed...

Guns & ammo.

Y2K was very good to me. I got money for mitigation. I didn't buy TP for over a decade after that, and I still haven't had to buy .22LR of any type.

Y2K was very good for me. I made money off of it, and I saved lots of money because of it.

Just having the .22LR was worth a lot to me. ;)

Do you know if testing was done on devices that were on and off?

As you get older, you get used to it. :)
