What cause you to excerpt this?
You’re supposedly the author, why not post the whole thing?

EMPs will no affect on my guns or ammo and as far as all the electronics, seems to me that would eliminate all the tracking devices so I’m good. Bring it on.

That's why government should be:
- Hardening the grid against an EMP attack
- Having every municipality >50,000 set up a site where a mini nuclear reactor can be dropped and connected to restore power.
- Hardening any electronics for water pumping and purification systems.
- Identifying the most common car parts and household parts that will fail in an EMP and stockpiling them. If you can get water, electric service and transportation back up quickly, the rest will work itself out.

As long as we pop one over every one else then ok. I want a level playing field so we are not invaded while we re-start.
The author seems to forget we have a bunch of boomers sitting around the world that will not be affected, only by the lack of a CiC to pull the trigger.

An EMP event would instantly destroy any means of telecommunication, bank account would disappear, planes would fall from the skies, nuclear plants would not be able to cool down the reactors, we would have no running water (water pumps) and every piece of electronics we use from pacemakers to phones to gasoline pumps would stop!
Your refrigerator will stop working and all your food will spoil in a matter of days! If you and your family are not together, you wont be able to contact or see them.
NOT a good day :(

My question is: Isn't a car essentially already a Faraday cage because it's a soft interior wrapped in steel?
????? Wouldn't an EMP wipe some car electronics out and not others? Is it 'hit and miss' and you really don't know if your car would start or not? 50/50 chance?
To: Nervous Tick
With all the dead bodies lying around, impossible to bury them all, you can be sure the fatality rate for everyone else would increase exponentially. Disease, contaminated water supply, etc..
To: ClaudeDavis
If this is your essay and you only post part of it then it gives the appearance that the rest of the essay is unreadable dreck.
