Amazing Afrezza – Non-Invasive Insulin That Works!
healthline.com ^ | April 22, 2015 | Amy Tenderich

I can’t wait to get my next A1C test done (who says that?! but it’s true). I am now two-plus months into my use of new inhaled insulin Afrezza, and frankly I’m blown away by how well it performs (ooh, pun!)

I’ve been hesitant to be too much of a cheerleader for Afrezza, because I thought maybe I was experiencing beginner’s luck – the thrill of any shiny new diabetes treatment can wear off pretty quickly – and given how controversial this drug is, I didn’t want to stir the pot unnecessarily.

But sorry Naysayers, Afrezza is the bomb. At least for me.

{I’d like to take a moment here to thank Sam Finta, aka @afrezzauser, for this insightful post warning investors off hounding us patients as we test the waters with this new drug – “Your financial good intentions to spread the message have blinded you to seeing there is a real person who will only trust and listen to a fellow warrior in the battle, and they (along with everyone they come into contact with) might reject or miss this “life-changing” drug based on your inappropriate behavior – can you blame them?”}

It’s not very often when you read about a new breakthrough drug that can really help a diabetic control their Blood Sugar. Diabetics until now only really had the option of multiple daily injects to deal with their diabetes. But now a new drug by MannKind is giving a diabetic a choice on using their product which is inhaled in a very discreet keyless remote device or the needle injection that is painful.

Personally I like the idea of the inhaled insulin and see this a game changer for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics.

Has any Freeper's tried Mannkind Afrezza yet? I think it is distributed by Sanofi.

“can really help a diabetic control their Blood Sugar”

how does inhaled insulin control blood sugar better than injections?

From what I have read it works very fast at mealtime and exits your system faster than an injected insulin so it is more stable on maintaining close to ideal or normal blood sugar.

Too bad the Dupont Drug Nazis will shoot you for being self sufficient and growing your own BS lowering herbs!

They would kick in the doors and seize the lands of our Founding Fathers today!

I just read an article by the lead researcher and that is his claim. my problem is, unless it helps control by a lot, to me, it’s not worth the possible lung problems that were reported in earlier trials.

I posted about it when it launched back in February.

It it a literally a game changer when it comes to fighting the disease. It’s not a cure but many are achieving better BG numbers than those who do not have diabetes.

Check out www.affrezauser.com or #afrezza on Twitter for first hand accounts.

The drug still has an uphill battle as Sanofi is not rushing to market it yet and many endos are skeptical. I believe the company wants to educate doctors first to show its true benefits that were not clearly shown during the trials of the drug.

There were no problems found in the trial. What was found that 4 people later died of lung cancer. Two were smokers and the other two wasn’t known. The drug has been used by a select number of people after Exubera, the first inhaled insulin, was taken off the market by Pfizer due to poor sales and they have been fine. Detailed scans of their lungs after 5 years showed no issue what so ever. The lung cancer excuse is bogus. And lets be honest, there are many diabetes drugs out there that cause a lot more side effects than a non verified lung cancer scare. We inhale a lot of crap in our lungs every day. The science of what makes Afrezza works shows it doesn’t stay in the lungs at all. Do some research on what Technosphere is and how it works and you’ll see the lung cancer argument is baseless and something that a liberal would use just like they have done with global warming or anything they want to destroy.

Amazing. I hope it works for everyone. Injecting is no fun at all, though I have a decent pain tolerance and no fear of needles.

It won’t work for everyone but it should work for many. The lack of injection isn’t the main thing that makes Afrezza powerful. It’s the very fast acting and short tail that will make many diabetics extremely happy. The fact of not having to prep and inject is just the icing on the cake.
