Move over War on Women and "internalized racism," the Left has a new catchprase: "internalized capitalism." That's the new buzzword that's being bandied about by the left over the last few months.
Haven't heard of it yet? The website "Black Girl Dangerous" has this quick definition:
"Because of internalized American capitalism, I accept that there is only so much love and appreciation to be handed out, and more of it will go to those who perform well. There are so few resources for people of color, period. Not to mention our vibrant intersectional identities and creative work."
And, according to other liberals, it's also "the root of all jealousy:"
For whatever reason, liberals on social media are taking a liking to the phrase, even though it's little more than leftist mad libs:

Regardless of labels or catch-phrases, modern liberalism continues to be its very divisive and self-contradictory and ultimately shallow self.
You can put me down as an “Externalized Capitalist”.
These people make things up to be worried about. They must be way too comfortable.
This feels like microaggression, or perhaps cryptofascism, to me.
Sounds like internalized b/s to me.
That’s funny, because “envy” is the root of liberalism.
Keep changing the language and keep people so confused that they can’t argue effectively.
Ex.: Negro > Colored > Afro-American > African-American
Interesting how this liberal thinks that the meaning to life is money.
My wife was out with a liberal friend, and the friend was wondering when my wife was going to go back to work. (It’s been 20+ years since she worked!) The friend was very concerned for my wife’s well-being that she didn’t have a “job”, and that she HAD to get a job.
My wife “I thought liberals were supposed to be so tolerant of how other people want to live their lives? Obviously not.”
These people just need to get over themselves.
Oh, by all means, let's reward those who do poorly. That's just the incentive they need to improve.
There are so few resources for people of color, period.
Ain't it the truth? There isn't a single organization or governmental panel devoted to stealing money from white people and distributing it to blacks. There are no affirmative action programs to force employers to hire unqualified black people in preference to whites, or to admit uneducated blacks to universities over brilliant white students. There is a White History Month, and National Association for the Advancement of White Folks, and a Miss White America pageant, but nothing at all for poor blacks. It's not fair.
Not to mention our vibrant intersectional identities and creative work.
If I knew that that gibberish meant, I'd refute it too. But in any case, don't mention it.
By the way, this idiotic idea -- internalized capitalism -- reads like a quote from Das Kapital. See, under Marx's looney Labor Theory of Capital, peoples' time and energy are nothing more than commodities to be added to the value of an object that is then sold for more than those commodities and the raw materials cost. By working for the Collective, you give up those individual notions of value and ensure your happiness by contributing what you're able to the betterment of all.
I see George Lakoff has been busy again...
It’s pretty clear that the liberal definition of tolerance is
“tolerating everything that isn’t traditionally American, Christian, and Western”.
If you reward a behavior you tend to get more of that behavior.
If you punish a behavior you tend to get less of it.
When we reward idiocy we get this kind of crap. When we punish common sense we also get this kind of crap.
actually I like it! Great words to use against liberals.
I read it and still don’t know what it means.
Internalizing Capitalism is Entrepreneuronormative. Which is probably bad, if you’re a lib.
