Hewitt: 5 bold reforms Hillary should champion to devastate the GOP and ensure a long ‘Clinton Era’

1. A constitutional amendment abolishing the Electoral College and substituting in its place a direct election of the president by popular vote.

2. A constitutional amendment abolishing the two term limit on the presidency.

3. A constitutional amendment mandating that 5% of GDP be spent on the Pentagon’s budget, with safeguards that the money actually be spent on soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines and the equipment they need, and not on absurd “tack-ons” like “green energy” production for military bases. Rebuild the military and detach it from the GOP, and do so before a coup becomes a reality in the next forty years.

4. An ironclad commitment to massive development of our own energy resources, via fracking onshore and select development of new offshore resources, via out-of-sight platform drilling.

Five 1 bold reforms Hillary conservatives should champion to devastate the GOP left and ensure a long ‘Clinton Era’the death of progressivism

Kill the Federal Reserve. The ability to issue fiat money, monetize debt and manipulate interest rates means the nanny state and its cronies will always be able to fund their long-term political and social-engineering schemes

There’s a map somewhere....a district topographical relief version that illustrates my point. It is from the 2000 election I believe.

Senseless and stupid:

1. abolishing the Electoral College: This would be just a distraction, but I guess that means it would be good liberal policy. Maybe this would make the Dems happy but, despite the liberal myth, the electoral college didn’t favor Bush and doesn’t favor the Republicans. The Dems typically have the majority but that is only because it’s a meaningless statistic that neither side is interested in manipulating.

2. abolishing the two term limit on the presidency: No president could ever touch this, it’s too obvious a push to be dictator for life. Even Obama couldn’t get away with suggesting this.

3. Pentagon budget: He seems to think a weak America and a weak economy are a side effect of liberal rule, they are the objective.

4. development of our own energy resources: So, “become Sarah Palin”. This shows a complete lack of knowledge about Democrats. It’s not that they won’t do this, they are incapable of it. Their whole party is based on “stop the evil rich”. If the government seized the oil companies then the Dems would say it was patriotic to frack and drill and do what they want. He seems to think a weak America and a weak economy are a side effect of liberal rule, they are the objective.

5. Amnesty: You don’t have to tell her to do that. She’ll do it, and all the fence in the world won’t stop people when their are jobs and welfare on the other side.

I don’t think he’s root for her, I think he’s trying to expose her playbook some these GOP candidates, such as they are, can counteract it to some degree. I hope so, anyway. Scary to contemplate.

I recall she already suggested eliminating the electoral college in the last several elections.

“I recall she already suggested eliminating the electoral college in the last several elections.”

I bet she did. This list is a really weird combination of dumb ideas she is incredibly likely to do and things she absolutely cannot and will not ever do.

Hewitt doesn’t learn from history does he? #5 was done during the Reagan era, but all we got was an amnesty.

“I recall she already suggested eliminating the electoral college in the last several elections.”

Also, “how do you tell when a Clinton is lying? Their mouths move.” I’m sure she does put this forward, but can you imagine the political capital it would take to actually push through a constitutional amendment about the electoral college?

The effort to undermine the electoral college has been churning away, quietly, behind the scenes, for some time.

Romney isn’t running, so after pushing Romney and Mormonism for 8 or 9 years, Hewitt has Hillary Clinton for 2016.

“The effort to undermine the electoral college has been churning away, quietly, behind the scenes, for some time.”

Yes, a senseless distraction, or dangerous attack on the rights of less populated states depending on how you look at it, that the liberals like quite a bit. But, the list said “an amendment” and an amendment probably can’t be anything more than an applause line for speeches. The reason they are doing these crazy compact is because they know if would be incredibly unlikely for anyone to have the political capital to make an amendment about this and then actually spend that capital on doing it.

A constitutional amendment abolishing the two term limit on the presidency

After a rough primary fight in 2007/2008 Hillary looked like a corpse on a stick. She's eight years older and in no better health. Assuming she survived the next seventeen months of campaigning and actually won she'd been dead or in an alcohol induced coma before the half way point of her first term.

Her choice of running mate would be more important than anything else she did.
