Does that mean there's a daily bag limit of 4?
Because armed robbers' lives matter?

Probably not: I’m 59 - was 16-17 when Vietnam fighting closed down. A vet of Vietnam would be anywhere from 5 to 22 years older than me.
He was - most likely - the son of Vietnamese civilians who fled the communist invaders in 72-73, after Kerry negotiated in Paris with the enemy to lose the war we won in the battles.
Considering the crime and demographic correlation, this probably IS the rationale.
Good shooting, Citizen. Civilization thanks you.

Looks just about the right age to have caught the last few years.
IMHO
There is no bag limit in Texas when urban ferals are on your property threatening you. This was why the DemocRATs in Texas were so adamant about Castle Doctrine legislation not being passed. Too many of their future constituents would be Texas Department of Corrections residents or six feet under.
In Neew York it is ingrained. When mugged, give the guy what he wants. It is out of the question to own a firearm
Dien Tu love it when a plan comes together ?
I saw what you did there. :)
If you are unarmed and unable to defend yourself than by all means, give them what they want. It would be foolish to do otherwise. This guy was not unarmed, he was armed and as part owner it was his money, he knew what to do and he did it.
Dien should run for Mayor of Houston.
I was working in a strip mall clinic in east Baltimore around 1998 when a liquor store clerk a few stores down from us shot and killed a “youth” who was robbing his store. I don’t recall if the perp dragged himself outside or the clerk did, but the body lay out on the sidewalk for hours until police were called in by a concerned citizen.
The clerk/store owner said this was the right thing to do, so others would see what happens when you try to rob a store at gunpoint.
There were shouts of racism, local protests (I don’t know if Al Sharpton’s people were called in) but the Baltimore prosecutor finally determined the shooting was fully justified, no charges were pressed, business went on as usual.
“Heads on pikes” seem to be a reasonable next step to prevent robberies.
In all seriousness, what I’d really like to see is a “Citizens Response Award,” where people who stand up the terror (robbery, rape, carjacking included) are recognized publicly at an awards ceremony, given a box of self-defense ammunition (the manufacturers could get in on this to their benefit), given a gold-embossed certificate suitable for framing (or framed), and a gift coupon good for a couple of hours of range time at a local indoor or outdoor range/gun club with instruction appropriate to their current level of marksmanship.
“Give them what they want”? Mozambique. Two to the chest, one to the head. Then move on as if nothing has happened, secure in the knowledge you’ve rid society of the kind of sociopathic scum that would threaten harm to useful people.
They don’t always get what they want, but sometimes they get what they need.

Probably safe to assume that Rand Paul has the same problem with the Castle Doctrine, as the FELONS that he thinks will vote Republican if just given back the right to vote won’t be quite as numerous (although that can be compensate by multiple voting, since Rand also has a big issue with Voter ID).
Someone who tries to steal your hard-earned money with a weapon has to be interpreted as meaning to cause you harm, so it is fair for you to treat them the way this clerk did.
That reporter wants us to cower to thugs. I say give them what they intended to give us. Their life is forfeit when they act this way.
The left wants the criminal class to waltz right in and take what is “rightfully “ theirs. It wants to take guns from non-violent people and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
There was a time when this was good advice, it has long since passed.
