My tenants, who live out back of my house just came running up and told me there is a serial killer on the loose in our neighborhood. He just torched a car not 500 yards from my home. My tenants are loading their weapons, they say that several local hunters are out looking for this guy. We are also prepared. Weapons at the ready, all external lights on and our GSD is out patrolling the property. Maybe a practice run for what is coming. I'll update on this thread if anything happens.

Take your semi-auto weapon with the largest capacity magazine and start shooting at the ground around you. Then do it again. The perp won’t come near your area.

Mine are always loaded and located within easy reach.
Make sure you take a shotgun and go out on your balcony and click it. Or get a laser pointer and hope they think you’re a sniper.
Perp won’t but about a thousand cops will.
Do you really want your dog *out* on the property? I agree with others that cops might decide to shoot your dog. The perp might decide to take out your dog. Perhaps a better place for your GSD would be inside the house, defending his people?

Either way, there’s a creepy feeling when someone who’s just committed a crime is on the loose where you live, that’s for sure. Once an officer knocked on my door and said they were chasing a burglar through the woods behind my house. He asked to check through my backyard. That was creepy enough. Imagine a killer on the loose...
