He was charged March 25 with one count of desertion with intent to shirk important or hazardous duty, and one count of misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place.
The Sheriff said "Bergdahl was "above politeness" as several people from the home where Bergdahl was visiting were taken into custody".
Bowe Bergdahl, the Army soldier-turned-prisoner who was released by the Taliban after President Barack Obama released five terrorists from the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, was unexpectedly spotted at a California marijuana farm this week. Bergdahl, who is awaiting military court martial, had an Army pass allowing him to be in Mendocino County. Bowe Bergdahl, accused of desertion in Afghanistan, was found at a marijuana raid in California on Thursday morning, according to the Anderson Valley Advertiser. He, however, added that Bergdahl "readily produced his military ID", but was "not involved" in the marijuana operation. "Sgt. Bergdahl was on authorized leave in California at that time". The Department of Defense asked if local sheriff's officials would help Bergdahl back to base. He was not arrested and has returned to his duty station on Fort Sam Houston. The Hailey native left his post in Afghanistan and was captured by the Taliban-alligned Haqqani network in June 2009.
Bergdahl's trial was scheduled to begin in July, but the preliminary hearing was postponed for two months at the request of his legal team.
It's not known if Bergdahl was given a drug test by the Army.
Can you imagine the security at the pot farm? They knew him, otherwise he would not be there. So HOW do they know him enough to invite him to a party?
He’s not in detention and allowed to travel to pot farm parties cuz O said he’s good.
Maybe he’s looking for a new trade for after Mr. Obama pardons him.
So you think he’s studying to be a narc?
I heard they sent him back to his unit, saying that he had nothing to do with anything at the pot operation....
I’m sure his CO, First Sergeant and fellow troops were glad to see him back.
/s
Why isn’t he confined to barracks until his trial? He’s an obvious flight risk.
I’m guessing he has carte blanche from someone really high up in the administration, or he’d be in big trouble for this pot farm raid business. Nothing else makes any sense. I know if I were in a similar situation the first thing that would’ve happened would’ve been the loss of any security clearance, an Article 15, some time in the stockade probably followed by a general discharge, if I was lucky.
Excellent analysis! I have a school chum who lives in that part of the world now; and yes, security is tight and can get violent.
can one get discharged from the military for associating with drug dealers????
Yep.
Sewage finds its own level.
And to think American heroes died for this worthless, waste of flesh. He doesn’t deserve air.
“He, however, added that Bergdahl “readily produced his military ID”, but was “not involved” in the marijuana operation.”
Riiiiiiight.
And the bowing and scraping from all official commented tells us that they were “spoken to” about the deserter and painting him in a bad light...
Think ‘Bergdahl’ when you consider the deal the current administration is making with Iran.
Why isn’t this guy breaking rocks in Leavenworth already?
Think Saeed Abedini and Jason Rezaian when you think of this treasonous sellout by Diaperstain Obama. I flushed a Bergdahl about 30 minutes ago.
Bo could bring some modern choom to the Bergdahl Garden at the Rainbow Mossque to share with Mr. Big.
I woke up too early. I thought it said “ordained”
UNEXPECTANTLY spotted at a pot farm?
“Why isnt he confined to barracks until his trial? Hes an obvious flight risk.”.........
Perhaps a better question is why is he not locked up?
Personally, I recommend he be sent to the front lines once again so he can be..............?
He is not in prison??
