“Bill Donahue of the Catholic League was invited onto the Smerconish show on CNN in order to defend a decision by a private Catholic school to fire a teacher who had revealed herself to be gay and in a gay marriage.
Halfway through the interview, Michael Smerconish affirms the lesbians’ view that they are the ‘real embodiment’ of Catholic teaching. Cuz that makes a lot of sense.
Of course, people who get their understanding of Christian doctrine from making fun of televangelists while smoking pot in college and from snarky criticisms on the Daily Show aren’t the best scholars when it comes to biblical theology. That’s why Smerconish starts whining about the ‘judge not lest ye be judged’ text without any understanding of the context and intent of the quote. Apparently this is part of the CNN anchor idiot handbook.
The Catholic Church makes it very clear that only a Catholic person can teach religious lessons in a Catholic institution of education, and if the lesbians were good adherents, they’d know that. I mean hell, I’m not even Catholic and I know that.
My Opinion: I have to admit, I never thought even a lesbian would say something THAT stupid. Can anyone show me any scripture that claims that lesbians share anything with Christian belief or with Catholic Canon law? Perhaps he is reading the new RAINBOW bible that removes all mention of homosexuality in the original bible. We wouldn’t want the precious snowflakes to feel unwanted. They stole the rainbow from the Bible as one of Gods signs, why not the whole Bible? Sorry, won’t work.

According to the Roman Catholic Church (it's in their Catechism), homosexual activity is "intrinsically disordered".
So, I guess you might say that these bulldykes disordered lives do embody that teaching ...
But I don't think that's what they meant.

Smerconish does not believe in anything but his own career. He will say say anything that he believes will please those who can further his paycheck. He would state with full sincerity that the sky is yellow with pink pocka dots if he feels it would get him a gig on some cable network. He was one of those “conservatives” who had a liberal conversion in 2008 when it was thought the general radio listening, TV viewing public was tilting left.
What’s interesting, once again, is the context of Matthew 7. The leftist’s favorite verse is verse 1, of course, “judge not...,” but it doesn’t mean what they want it to mean. In that passage Christ was commanding us to not use our own fallen standards to judge others by, but God’s standards. I can’t say all blonds go to hell because God didn’t say that. But I CAN say that all unrepentant homosexuals go to hell, because God DID say that.
Also, just a few verses later is this gem from Christ, PROVING verse 1 doesn’t say what leftists want it to say:
Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
How, pray tell, are we to determine if people are “dogs” or “swine” without judging them, and judging them harshly?
Even worse for Smercomish is the real meanings of these words. “Swine” is easy. That’s anybody who insists upon wallowing in their own filth, which is pretty much the entire left. “Dogs” is a little harder, but in this context, Christ obviously ain’t talking about Gentiles when he speaks of “dogs.” The New Testament was written in Greek, and “dogs” in Greek (kuon) just means “dogs.” But the New Testament was likely spoken in Aramaic, closely related to Hebrew, and in Hebrew the puzzle is solved. In Hebrew, “dogs” (keleb) is a euphemism for a male prostitute. So Christ was speaking of homosexuals and calling them “dogs.”
This makes sense from a practical viewpoint too. Christ’s warning was that people in these two groups, “dogs” and “swine,” take great offense at hearing holy pearls of wisdom. In fact, they hate it so much, they desire to destroy those who preach righteousness, and because of their depravity, we’re under no obligation to evangelize them once we know them for what they are. That’s precisely what those who want to wallow in their own filth, and homosexuals, try to do with bakers or anybody else who won’t bow down to their depravity.

“Dogs” is used again with this meaning in Rev. 22:15:
Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Interestingly, this verse is parallel with a previous verse:
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
“Fearful” and “unbelieving” are no-brainers, and it’s the remaining damned behaviors that are parallel. The only difference is that Rev. 21:8 damns “the abominable,” and Rev. 22:15 damns “dogs.” So this is an abomination where the damned are called “dogs.” Unrepentant homosexuals, in other words.
Also, unrepentant women who murder their babies in the womb are damned (and all other unrepentant murderers), as are unrepentant libertines/debauchees, as are unrepentant idolaters, as are unrepentant liars.
“Sorcerers” is used by the translators because I don’t think they had much exposure to this behavior. But this is in the sense of “casting a spell upon one’s mind using drugs.” So unrepentant drug abusers/pushers are also damned.
Back in the early 2000’s Smerconish was single handedly responsible for the demise/death of a number of talk radio stations. The blame was clearly on Clear Channel who moved him to the AM pre-Rush slot. The turn-off factor was palpable.
I spoke with a program director type in FL (one of the affected stations) who confirmed that they were forced to put his worthless show on the air. That station went from crushing everyone before being “forced to Smerconish” to being completely crushed.
He's an example of that world destroying breed of semi-humans, the Philadelphia slip and fall lawyer.
Look, I don’t care if you’re gay. As long as you don’t shove it in my face every 5 seconds with “OMG, look how gay I am”, I don’t care who you have sex with or marry, because it doesn’t affect me. That’s why I hate gay pride parades, because it’s just tasteless “look how gay i am” attention seeking.
That said, the guy in the article is a gibbering moron. How the hell is he even able to hold a microphone?
