Obama Wealth Redistribution Questioned by 5-year-old

Obama's Redistribution of Wealth was questioned 5-year-old political commentator, Melody.

She uses the example of working to earn her allowance and to save up enough money to buy some ice cream.

The before she gets to eat it, Obama forces her to give it to someone else. She opines that it's her choice who to give ice cream to, if anyone at all.

Melody also questioned why Obama would reward Iran by giving them over $100 billion in assets back, enough to build hundreds of nuclear bombs.

Old joke brought back to life:

I was talking to a friend’s little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, If you were to be the President, what’s the first thing you would do?

She replied, ‘I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people. Wow - what a worthy goal.’ I told her, ‘You don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that.

You can come over to my house and mow the grass, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food or a new house.’

She thought that over for a few seconds, ‘cause she’s only 6. And while her Mom glared at me, the little girl looked me straight in the eye and asked, ‘Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?

And I said, ‘Welcome to the Republican Party.

Her folks still aren’t happy with me.

Nothing hits home more directly than explaining to a kid when they get their first pay check how much of it gets confiscated by the government and goes to someone sitting on their ass bitching about not having anything.

What little Melody does not understand is that in a perfect Socialist Paradise, she does not have to work to earn her ice cream as the State will provide it free of charge. (Of course by robbing others that work)

And once socialism gets a full grip on the nation only the elites will get to have ice cream, unless little Melody wants to wait in a line for 8 - 12 hours to get her rationed share of one scoop.

Meanwhile, those representing Melody’s plight, such as John Boehner, jump, scream and holler about how unfair it is. After which Boehner and his commie cronies get to eat all the ice cream they want.

I’m always suspicious about stories like this. Since when do five year old’s think about politics?

If true, and not coerced by the parents, then good for the child to recognize at an early age that a tax on your labor is theft.

My kids, by five, fully understand that the gov’t takes from those who earn to give to those who don’t,
and what it means on their level (like the kid with the ice cream).

I had an incident the other day that reminded me of this. I have a trumpet for sale that I bought off Craigslist. I wanted to make a few bucks on it so I posted it with a decent markup. I hadn't heard anything for a few days and then I got this email:

"I have aspiring grade school jazz musician neighbor that could use a trumpet. Would you be willing to donate it to help him out?"

I wrote back. "Tell you what. I'm a nice guy. I'll reduce the price and have you buy the trumpet for him. Then you'll gain a friend for life. I'm chipping in some and so are you. What say you?"

"No thanks. I don't think I'll be able to do that."

Spending other people's money is so much easier than spending your own.

How did this poor child ever escape the “progressive” educational system?
