Briefcase Clock Maker UPDATE: Kid admits forethought – knew it was going to be “suspicious”
Conservative Treehouse ^ | Sep 18, 2015 | Sundance

UPDATE: In his own words Ahmed Mohamed, 14, an Irving MacArthur High student essentially states he knew taking the device to school was controversial. Listen at 1:26 video: “I closed it with a cable, so… because, I didn’t want to lock it to make it seem like a threat so I just used simple cable…. so it won’t look that much suspicious”.

Update#2 – We are not the only people to pick up on the admitted “intent”. Follow THIS LINK – To see exactly how it was engineered and the kids’ story gets even more sketchy.

How many terrorists have TSA caught? None. Zilch. Zero. I rest my case on that point.

As for teachers, you have low standards for our teachers. Furthermore, by buying into this hysteria you are enabling any Islamists who want to fan the flames through staged events. I’m not the problem—YOU are.

A lot better reason to summon police than a piece of French toast chewed into the shape of a gun.

See post 55. The school never thought there was a bomb.

Think about it: this incident should have never made the news. Instead, Ahmed is now invited to the White House, and you are doubling down on stupid.

If there was no bomb, the story should have never left the classroom and we should have never heard about it. Instead, you are helping to whip this story up into a firestorm.

Stop Threats/Acts of School Violence

A bomb hoax is a Class H felony and the school authorities had a legal duty to report it and the cops had a legal duty to investigate it.

What Happens If You Make a School Bomb Threat?

He was invited to the WH before I ever heard of this story.
Nice try, terrorist enabler.

You never answered the question.

How would you know there wasn’t a pound of plastic
explosives pressed flat into the side of the case?

You are a straight-on terrorist enabler.

I once had a contract for an small-luggage x-ray screening machine for airports. They had me write a simulator that would electronically place ‘threats’ in bags. For the explosives threat, images of one of four components would be graphically placed in the luggage image:

1) Medium to large amounts of wire: Loose, coiled or irregular-shaped.

2) Power sources such as batteries.

3) Disassembled or jury-rigged electronic components.

4) Organic masses.

Any two of those markers would require a hands-on search. This kid had THREE.

All he did was disassemble an alarm clock and stick it in a briefcase. THAT IS NOT A SCIENCE PROJECT.

Since you are defending him, you are a terrorist enabler.

I don’t without examining the case. However, there are no wires going into the side of the case, nor evidence of a detonator. It takes more than two wires to detonate plastic explosives. A look at the crap in the case shows that it’s the guts of a typical alarm clock, and there’s nothing else evident there.

Obviously the teachers and faculty didn’t think there was a bomb either, or they would have evacuated the school.

What the kid did was very equivalent to disassembling a pistol, placing the parts in a holster -- except for the barrel and ammunition -- and bringing it to school.

Then claiming 'profiling' when he was caught.

And dinodino would be defending him as a 'budding mechanical engineer'.

If your simulator had “organic masses” as explosives, then it’s old tech.

Since you are defending the school administrators, you are an idiot enabler. You are enabling idiots.

Three of four threat markers, REQUIRES a prudent response.

Obviously the teachers and faculty didn’t think there was a bomb either, or they would have evacuated the school.

They took a prudent response.

What a pantload.

Your analogy is so ****ed up. It’s much closer to the chewed Pop-tart in the shape of a gun.

So...would it have been prudent to evacuate the school?

What would YOU do if you truly thought a bomb was in a small metal case in front of you?

I would get the hell out of Dodge.

Yup. This was in the 80's. However, the threat markers are still there.

Since you are defending the school administrators, you are an idiot enabler. You are enabling idiots.

I am defending a prudent response to the presence of THREE of four threat markers.

You are defending terrorists.

Enjoy your Muslim test-runs, exploded American kids, and reduced freedoms.

So I guess I missed the part where he was charged with a Class H felonious bomb hoax.

Can you post a link showing where he was charged?

Sorry, so you are saying that this kid is a terrorist? Has that been determined? Maybe you can cite your source.
