It would be nice to think we will finally be out from under Obama et al. when he leaves office in 486 long days. But we might not be so lucky.

Further, Obama wants Biden to choose a black running mate and commit to serving only one term, then throwing his own endorsement to his vice president, Klein writes on his Ed Klein Confidential blog.
Obama reportedly favors former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, one of Obama’s close allies.
“Obama has already given Biden carte blanche to use Air Force Two, the official vice presidential plane, to crisscross the country and launch an unofficial campaign,” Klein wrote.
Coupe Deval Patrick’s unfortunate election as Governor of Massachusetts was a prototype for the Obama campaign. Both were masterminded by the same leftist, David Axelrod...There are those who have argued Obama ain't hardly our leader at all-- it's Jarrett too but even more so the loosely-associated world socialist cabal that made him- Soros, Bill Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis all played a part in creating Obama and enabling him to do the number on America he's doing today, now working in-concert with Bilderbergers/NWO, etc.

(Then again, with Trump winning, we’d have to factor in the GOPe going all John Anderson again, too—as they did against Reagan in 1980.)

I would say another Bush type president will make it easier for another Obama to take over. Why? Because with Biden there will be more transfer payments and Fed money to prop up the dying economy. LIVs getting the dollars will feel richer with Biden. With Bush, the economy will adjust and there will be recession as it does so, and the media will pretend there is even if there isn't.
Even with radical restructuring (Cruz, Trump, Rubio) of the tax code, there will still be an adjustment and recession even if brief. Obama is much more devious than Carter and would never appoint a Volker type to put the economy on a solid footing (capital investment instead of borrowing).
By the end of Biden’s first term, the country will be so far to the left, Van Jones could win the White House.

Jeb joined Lehman Brothers after his time as governor. Dan Quayle joined Cerebus Capital after stepping down as VP. Dennis Hastert joined Dickstein Shapiro after stepping down as Speaker. Eric Cantor joined Moelis & Company after stepping down from the House. After leaving the Bush I administration Dick Cheney became CEO of Halliburton. Colin Powell joined Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, a venture capital firm, after serving as Secretary of State under George W. Bush. President Bob Dole became a spokesperson for Viagra following his unsuccessful run for President.
On the Democrat side Hillary Clinton made money working for the Rose Law Firm, serving on the board of Wal-Mart, and engaging in commodities trading (with the help of Don Tyson) while Bill was governor of Arkansas. Michelle Obama served as a high paying Vice President of the University of Chicago hospital while Barack served in his state legislator and US Senator jobs prior to running for president. After serving in the Clinton administration, Rahm Emanuel landed a high paying job at the investment bank Wasserstein Perella & Co.
No matter the party, if they tow the establishment line they, or their spouses, will have lucrative private sector jobs.

I’m of the opinion much of the Obama ‘legacy’ needs to be repealed immediately- amnesty, Obamacare, and the Iran deal in particular
We need a Cruz to do that, but almost any placeholder who would veto conservative reforms sent to his desk would do for them- Biden can do that
