The DOJ or any Federal Agency has no power whatsoever being involved within any state according to the Constitution. Department of Education controlling the school districts. The EPA is sticking their noses into private citizens property and state-owned land. I could go on but you get the picture!
And I would doubt the Supreme Court as it presently stand is completely unbiased to rule.
When Congress passed it and Clinton signed it, it was in response to some higher-profile situations of churches running into zoning troubles. RLUIPA is basically an off-shoot of the federal RFRA law.
I don't know the last time it was used by the DOJ. Churches themselves have successfully sued using RLUIPA, as it contains a private right-of-action.

The current administration feels that there should be no local government and that his dictatorship should rule all, even down to the small towns’ zoning decisions.
Anybody still think he’s a “committed Christian” who works for the good of this country?
Problem is, it costs the locality money to defend the suit. The Mohammedan-in-chief uses your tax dollars to bring the suit.
My tax was lowered. I live in Imperial County, the poorest county in California. We may as well be living in Mexico. I wonder if another form of wealth redistribution is afoot here.
I could have sworn I saw a rare endangered red spotted doddle bug right in the middle of that plot of land. Call in the EPA! That’ll stop the building in two seconds.
