This is getting crazy. In the past 24hrs, the presidential campaign became about George W. Bush.
The despised Jeb should've been out of the race by now. Perhaps the only way to get him out of the race is to destroy the reputation of the dynasty.

Incredible claims require incredible proof.
And George W. Bush doesn’t usually say anything negative about anybody.
Seems to me, in politics, saying “I just don’t like the guy” is practically a kiss on the cheek. I don’t know why anyone is getting even a little bit excited about this. I mean, Geez Louise, maybe he just doesn’t like the guy ;-)

Hopefully after Jeb quits the race, the whole awful family will move to the country of their loyalties, Mexico. They can open a souvenir stand, selling straw hats, pinatas, and W’s paintings of clowns and puppies.

I’m a Cruz supporter, all the way. But I can’t get excited about this. Bush didn’t take out a full page ad in the New York Times. He just made a comment at a party. Best ignored. Like most comments made at parties.

GWB is ungrateful too. Cruz was part of his ballot security team in 2000. And look how the Bushes turned against Katherine Harris in FL (helped to make her into an unsavory villain) though she had helped make GWB president by standing up firmly to the leftists in the FL secretary of state office in Tallahassee. Remember too how GHWB refused to attend Lee Atwater’s funeral: went sailing in late March instead. GHWB thought being tainted with Atwater’s controversial image would hurt the reelection campaign in 1992. But Atwater make the 1988 victory possible; or we would have had Kitty’s second husband.
McCain ran against Bush in 2008...and not against Obama...and lost. Mitt ran against Bush in 2012, not against Obama, and lost. Yesterday Trump started to run against W Bush with his 9-11 comments. He will lose too if he keeps that up.
I pretty much agree with the OP’s assessment of the Bush family, but if W Bush is seen as to blame for 9-11 and the economic crash, no Republican, ZIP ZERO NADA, will ever sit in the Oval again.
