I have to say, Donald Trump is really becoming intolerable. Every day he seems to run more and more to the left, now seeking to curry favor with Bush haters. The real Donald Trump is emerging. The other day Trump blamed Bush for 9-11, and now he's doubled down on those words.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said on CNNs New Day that he wouldnt be apologizing for blaming George W. Bush for the 9/11 attacks, saying he had advanced notice that it was coming.Advance notice of what?Look, his brother gets hit on, hes a loyal person, hes loyal to his brother, Trump said of fellow GOP contender Jeb Bush. But his brother made some mistakes.
George Tenet, the head of the CIA, told them it was coming. So they did have advanced notice.
This was on CNN, so no one was going to disabuse Trump of his idiotic words. No one has asked Trump for specifics- what exactly would he have done to prevent 9-11? Trump is nearly always big on claims and painfully short on details. This was no exception. Trump boldly asserted:
I believe that if I were running things, I doubt those families would have I doubt that those people would have been in the country.Horse and sh*t. One of my chemistry profs used to say "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride." I'd love for someone to press Trump for specifics. As David French notes, those families were here courtesy of the incompetence of the State Department:
This statement is simply stunning. Hes asking Americans to believe that he would have brought a postSeptember 11 mindset to a nation that had not suffered a catastrophic foreign attack on the mainland since the War of 1812 and that he would have been able to draft, pass through Congress, and fully enforce a comprehensive new approach to immigration by the summer of 2001. Hes asking us to believe that he would have then caught the terrorists who had already been let in the country under the old immigration regime. Hes asking us to believe that his mere presence alone would have caused the State Department bureaucracy to suddenly become competent.In 2002, National Review discovered that none of the families' visas had been properly completed and that none of them should have been approved. It's worth noting that the 9-11 hijacker pilots all entered the US under the "reign" of Bill Clinton.
Let's have a look at the VISA applications:
The pattern? None of the 15 applications reviewed was filled out properly.Incompetence was the wedge used by the hijackers to get into this country. The problem is, it hasn't changed much. Trump frightens me much as Obama does- they are largely mirror images.Brothers Wail and Waleed al Shehri applied together in October 2000. Under "occupation" Wail wrote "teater;" brother Waleed claimed "student." The name and address of alleged employer and school was listed as "South City," and the questionable U.S. destination named as "Wasantwn." Visas approved.
Hubris is not a sound defense policy. And hubris doesn't remedy incompetence.
So tell us, Donald, exactly what would you have done differently as President? Check each VISA app yourself? Why weren't you talking about this in August of 2001?

Another tiresome anti-Trump attack piece.
TED CRUZ came to TRUMP’S defense when he was being chastised by the press and the GOPe. Has he reciprocated with the remarks made about TED CRUZ by former PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH?
I must have missed it
Well, why wouldn’t Trump be able to protect us with his ego alone? After all, Obama was going to stop the rise of the oceans...
He’s a blowhard, a buffoon and is about to drop out, right? Blah, blah, blah...
Trump is wrong on some things but we must keep our eyes on the ball here. Trump is right about immigration and it is the paramount - existential - issue facing us. We must get immigration right. Now. Nothing else will matter if we don’t.
I’ll fight Trump on eminent domain, his mercantilist economics, and any number of smaller issues in exchange for stopping the invasion now.
Well maybe Cruz can actually come out and say something first?
Why hasn’t Cruz stood up for himself on that? It isnt Trump’s job to be Cruz’s bodyguard when he doesn’t seem to care himself.
Trump is and was right. It is the President’s job to use all means available to protect this country and that job starts as soon as he or she is sworn in.
Our government failed us and over 3,000 of our people died.
I believe that Trump would do better.
False assertion on two counts. One, it assumes that Trump is trying to "curry favor" with some group, instead of simply telling the truth as he sees it.
And two, it assumes that only leftists disagree with Bush.
Donald Trump is tearing George W. Bush to pieces.
Certainly possible with Trumps immigration policy.
well we know for a fact George W. Bush didn’t prevent 911.. who is to say Trump couldn’t have prevented it?..knowing Trump he probably would have done a better job investigating young muslim men here on visas after those dire warnings given to him.. he’s not in love with the Arabs and Saudi Arabia like Dubya was.. Dubya even after 911 couldn’t say enough nice things about the muzzies .. Trump not so much
Thanks. Another Pseudo Conservative site we can take off our favorites. When you attack a political candidate in the same tone and style as the Left, you tell us more about you than you do about your target.
What could have been done?
How about get rid of that traitorous Gorelick Wall, and ARM the NYC CAP fighters.
An anti-missile defense system on the roof of the Pentagon might have been nice, too.
Oh yeah, and properly identify the Saudis as the attackers and nuke Mecca and Medina, destroy all mosques in the US, jail their damned Mullahs and Imams as enemies, evict ALL Muslims from the country as presumed enemies by their own religious teachings and END this crap before it got started.
He has told us about immigration, and how he would handle it;
He has shown that if we had good immigration laws, we wouldn'tt have the people that blew up the World Trade Center Buildings, the Pentagon...and has proved what needs to be done to enact the laws;
He has told us about how to get jobs back into America, and what he would do to do it;
He has a tax plan, and how it works;
He has a gun plan, and how he would work it;
He has told us obumacare is bad for the country, and what he would do about it;
He has told us about the Social Security going broke, and what he is going to do about it;
He has told us that the immigrants are being treated better than our vets, and what he would do to change it;
He has told us why he is financing his own campaign and why he is doing that;
He has told us that he wants Education back in the States, not in the federal government; and how bad common core is and why;
He has told us why he wants to shut down the EPA, and the reasons why;
He has told us why P.C. is so bad, and how it is taking away our expression of the freedoms we have;
So this is why my support goes to Trump, he makes deals, he runs multi billion dollar companies, and owns them, with someone as brilliant as this, I want THIS someone to put America on its feet again....
The only reason we can’t compare this stuff to Reagan’s candidacy is there was no internet in 1979-1980. But it would surely have been the same as this, maybe worse.
We know the GOP establishment didn’t like Reagan and the “pundits” were all sure that the “REAL” Reagan would soon emerge and reverse what he was supporting and advocating - mainly less government and more freedom. They waited, and waited, and waited, until after eight years of his presidency and then after seeing he actually DID believe in what he had said, simply tried to deny what has just taken place. These people are unbelievable.
Why do these people think this way? I think because they think everyone is either lost or phony like them. Sincerity and saying and doing what you really believe in is not on their radar screen.
I thought GW was disaster, but he wasn’t responsible for 9-11.
Clinton had shut down the CIA a couple of years earlier by mandating that almost no assets could be used that had human rights baggage of any kind. Which means we lost 80% of our access around the world in a single day.
In the country I was in we went from having every aspect of the country completely penetrated (all political parties, the military, the national police, all levels and branches of government - every bloody thing) to zero in a day. We had to cut everything off. We went blind with no ability to recruit replacements.
William BJ Clinton should be burned alive for what he did.
We’re so used to republicans attacking only each other. We’re so used to our fawning liberal cheerleading cover up lying propaganda media, But it’s not lost on me. Hillary is next. What she’s going to have to answer for to Trump will put this skirmish in the distant pass
And if the Bushes weren’t on the front lines defending and enabling the Clinton’s, obamas and jihadists, Jeb would be able to join in. But he’s done, the whole bush dynasty is done, since just two days ago. All the things that bug us about the bushes had been brought to the fore. And if anyone wants to talk about desperate they need look no further that W going after Cruz
Hear that Dana Perino?
To use your own sniveling impassioned question, why woul W go after someone that the voters actually like?
But they are done
And it’s only a warm up for what Hillary is going to have to face against Trump. The new media
Of course, she’s watching this and she knows
She’ll quit
And its only a warm up for what Hillary is going to have to face against Trump. The new media
Of course, shes watching this and she knows
Shell quit
*******************************************************
You are right on this....or she’s going to spend at least 10 years behind bars, why would Biden want to jump into this mess if she wasn’t going to be there....
