GOP preparing for war
Currently, Donald Trump dominates the Republican field in virtually every single poll. In most, he’s enjoying a double-digit lead over his nearest competitor. If that data holds, one would assume Trump will glide to an easy primary victory. Whether or not he’d win the general is a separate, easily debatable, question - but there’s little doubt that it currently appears that he’s headed for the nomination.
...And the mainstream wing of the GOP is less than pleased.
According to the Washington Post, the GOP elite are currently hosting high level meetings to discuss the idea of a floor fight that would usurp Trump and select a more party-friendly candidate.
Mississippi on a National Level would be suicide.
Sure would. However I think those in the GOPe would be very happy with Hillary as President. They just want business as usual. At least the TPP does not look like it will pass this year.
We hear this crap (brokered conventions) every four years.
The days of the smoke filled rooms were a select few horse traded delegates ended about 100 years ago.
Could they be so stupid as to actually consider to undo Trump who has energized voters and brought a new interest in politics? Trump’s coattails would be a great plus.

Trump has already told them he won’t play their game, no nomination and the gloves come off, then its winner take all. Should Trump win that round, it will be the dagger in the repub party heart.

Yep. It would be the supreme act of stupidity by the GOP “smart set”.
They see it as either losing their jobs or having to retrain to make money under a president that does not owe the PACs, and other groups a favor. In any case probably a loss of income.
Carson is talking about leaving too. He says, “I’m willing to lose honestly” (and will support the nominee) but that he’s not going to stand for “theft”.
However I think those in the GOPe would be very happy with Hillary as President.
The GOPe is too stupid to realize that thy would be at the top of Hitlery’s “Enemies List” and she would deal with them brutally.

Only way to fix the party is to jettison the rino/goper leadership once and for all, over to the rest of the unitard party.
Absolutely true. Even talking about, the GOP is treading on very thin ice.
The RINOs only alternative is to jump on the Trump Bandwagon and beg forgiveness.

No one is going to have a majority so there is no alternative to a brokered convention.
