While CO2, which is not a pollutant, has been steadily climbing to almost 400 parts per million over the last 75 years, temperatures in the 20th century have fluctuated greatly. The Dust Bowl years of the 1930's were very warm, but from 1940-75, the temperatures plummeted, but then rebounded between 1976-1997, but have since leveled off, with perhaps a slight warming thanks to El Nino the last few years. Meanwhile, CO2 was steadily climbing. If there is no one to one relationship/correlation between temperature and CO2 even in the 20th Century, what of the past? The problem only becomes even greater, especially if you assume that CO2 remained relatively stable. MIT graduate in Atmospheric Science Charles Clough weighs in ....

Read up on the history of vineyards in Great Britain. It is the best documentable information concerning warming in the years 900-1350, then due to the little ice age, was global cooling to say the least. What Co2 was there causing this?
