I think it is a pretty flawed slate of candidates, and I'm left with Rubio by default. Not happy about it, and was leaning Cruz earlier until he lost me.

CRUZ supports the pathway to “legalization” and does not declare Deportation for ANYONE, who is already here, just those who are “caught”. And, FELONS.
Expediting illegals back in through an expedited immigration system certainly is the perfect way to create millions of Democrat voters.
Cruz says that deportation laws will be enforced. Anyone here illegally must be reported upon contact with any agency. Illegals will not be able to get healthcare, enroll in welfare or apply for food stamps. They will no be able to enroll in school, apply for a drivers license or a job without being reported to ICE. They will be deported and unlike Trump’s plan, Cruz will NOT let them back in.

If you like being able to own a gun, thank Ted Cruz who won a landmark Supreme Court decision when the individual's right to keep and bear arms was at stake. He has the led the fight in the Senate to defeat several Obama gun control measures.
Cruz has won several other Supreme Court cases protecting everything from the 2nd Amendment, to Religious liberty, and our very sovereignty. He has many other accomplishments that are too numerous to list.
That’s why Cruz and Session wrote legislation in late 2015 called the “American Jobs First Act” to protect American workers and reduce the number of immigrants entering the country.

It is my political assessment. Cruz is dead meat as a president even if he were to get elected. He is inspiring to about 30% of the GOP voting base and that's about it. He can't win a national election. imo. But please, enjoy the speeches.

I’ve followed Cruz since he ran for Senate. I don’t need a Trump supporter who discovered the illegal immigration issue at the same time Trump did to lecture me on what Cruz’s position is on illegal immigration. Cruz has a record on this issue and is largely credited by those who were there with stopping amnesty, people like Mike Lee, Jeff Sessions and all the House Conservative caucus with whom he met daily.
Cruz was advocating for a wall when Trump was still criticizing Romney for being so mean to suggest self deportation. Get real.
