As for me, I'm as conservative as it gets, but Conservatives have failed me and our country. I'm counting on Mr. Trump to fix what's been broken, to keep our country safe and employed and on the road back to a spectacular recovery!
I’m watching the fierce South Carolina primary contest among the six remaining candidates for POTUS and a few things strike me as astounding.
The first is that all the seasoned politicians on stage—Governors Bush and Kasich, Senators Cruz and Rubio—have been relegated to straggler status by the non-politician in the race, billionaire businessman Donald Trump. (Dr. Ben Carson, the other non-politician, is hanging in there but not lighting any fires).
Because you love the health care mandate, Bush Lied, People died, and that your candidate is in love with himself and changes positions every 5 - 10 years?
It’s very, very simple: the status quo, despite any “Conservative” label, has let us down over and over and over again. We’re DONE with it. It’s time to do something different. Kasich isn’t different. Rubio isn’t different. Cruz isn’t different. Polished, professional politicians, the lot of them Trump is different. It really is that easy.
You got that right, tired of how “everybody in the party” is a conservative at election time and governs uniparty.
The jig is up.

The problem is we don’t all agree on the standards that must be adhered to.
The main reason I am supporting Trump is he is the only one talking about how to Make America Great again.
He talks about Immigration. A big problem in Our Country, with who knows what is crossing our borders. We have witnessed murders, raptists, gang people, and Muslim infidels that walk into a place and kill 14 people in Ca. And there have been others, Fort Hood...with this on top of new diseases cropping up all over, the newest one is Zika...
Our Veterans and Wounded Warriors are not being treated with the respect and care that they should be. They are treated worse than illegal immigrants...they get nothing in the way of food stamps, housing, and if you want to call what the Vets Hospitals across America is providing for them, I would think a Veternarian would provide better care. We do not give them the respect for protecting our Freedoms that they gave up their lives for and body parts for.
Our Economy is terrible. Our manufacturing jobs are going to Foreign Countries, so we are jobless. Ford is building a plan in Mexico; Nabisco is taking their plant to Mexico; Samsonite Luggage is in Mexico; Air Conditioners are now moving to Mexico and nothing coming back in form of money, and here sits the American Worker, working at Burger King for 4 hours in the morning, Artic Circle for 4 hours in the afternoon and another job at night for a few hours if their lucky....no health care, to costly, barely making the rent payment, buying food and gas for the car.
Health Care is to expensive and climbing higher almost every month. It was a joke on the American People in the first place by your President to begin with...and we all remember Nancy’s famous words: “Oh you have to vote on it before you know what is in it”...well we know what’s in it and we don’t like it...but the Insurance Companies and the Government love it....
Our inter structure is falling apart, our roads, our bridges, our power grids are collapsing, and if you don’t believe me on that, ever went thru a brown out in the Summer?
So here are the main reasons why my support goes to Trump, he’s a business man, a very rich business man that has built his American Dream and is willing to help America get back to her American Dream so her people can have better lives since Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush and obuma....lets make this America Great Again!!!

All of these things. Also, Trump answers to Trump. Some people see this as a negative, but I don’t. I think the guy loves his country, has had a successful life in it, and now wants to take a run and implementing a vision that can make the country proud once more. He hasn’t wanted to be President since he was in high school and doesn’t take special interest money.
For all these reasons, he has my vote. Early voting is coming up for me, and I’ll be proud to cast my ballot early.
Every election cycle every Republican hides behind a conservative mask and tells us they’re gonna stand up for conservative principles and fight the Democratic Party tooth and nail on everything. Then they get to DC and cave like the cowards they are. Here we go with another election cycle and the same promises. Sorry, we’ve all been to this dance once too often and get burned every time.
I agree that Trump is not a conservative. But frankly I am just tired of voting for conservatives just to see them roll over and take it from the dems time after time, and then apologize for even raising the argument.
I’m ready for some pushback for once. The riff with the Pope is a perfect example. He pushed back on the Pope just like he did with that snarky Telemundo reporter early in the race.
Liberals aren’t used to that. They expect to get their way just by getting in your face. The perception is that Trump doesn’t play that game.
I don’t think I am alone in just wanting our side to hit back a little bit. IMHO the only one in the race that will do that is Trump.
You say Cruz isn’t different. Relative to the candidates the GOP has endorsed in the last 25 years, he is very different.
How so? He’s actually a conservative. (Name me one true conservative who has been nominated for the Presidency, between the end of Reagan’s tenure to this election cycle).
Be for Trump and against all others all you want, but it doesn’t compute to say that Cruz is no different from the GOPe moderate establishment types. That dog doesn’t hunt.
As a Repub you have two choices, you can win ugly or lose graciously. There is only one candidate who can win ugly.

If Trump shuts down illegal immigration and secures the border, it will be the most conservative thing any president has done in the last 25 years.
Absolutely! We have been lied to by conservatives. This is the current conservatives. Conservative means free trade destroying our jobs, Conservative means cheap labor immigration that takes blue collar and IT jobs from American citizens. Conservative means not standing up to Obamacare because the Wall Street loves it. Conservative means allowing zero interests that only helps big business and big banks while destroying savings and small local banks. Conservative means a big security state watching our every move.
We have supported such “Conservatives” long enough!
I want someone who cares about American workers, I want someone who will secure our borders. I want someone who will address the disaster that is Obamacare. I want someone who will not allow the US to bankrupt itself while protecting countries that will not support us.
I want Trump!
What has Cruz actually done that's "conservative"?
He says one thing, then does something else ( TPA ), and not only lies about why he voted for it, but gets someone else to also lie about it too. And that is just one instance, there are more.
For many on this site now. Ronald Reagan wouldn't pass their "CONSERVATIVE TEST" today. He was once a BIG Dem, married twice, a union leader, on T.V., made movies, as governor, got abortion legalization passed long before the nation did, wasn't a BIG RELIGIOUS guy, and who knows what else posters would have dug up on him, from early days, to post about.
So lets stop all of this foolishness NOW ! The candidates are running as REPUBLICANS, not as "CONSERVATIVES"; there is NO National Conservative Party, though there is one in N.Y. State.
In the end, Cruz knows how his bread is buttered - by special interests. He WILL act accordingly. Now, that said, I will support Cruz if he is the nominee. I won't support any of the others.
I think we need to face up to the fact that the GOP is now run by former Democrats who bought their liberal values with them.
