My view: The Establishment does not fear Trump. They now fear You The People behind Trump

My view: The establishment does not fear Trump. They now fear You The People behind Trump for the first time in a very long time.

They thought the March 3rd Debate would bury Trump with the 1-2-3 combo of Romney, the Cuban Luchadores and FOX. The after debate polls showed trump with a larger lead than ever.

Can you taste the Establishment's fear? It's delicious.

Funny how they don’t seem to understand that.

The only reason to be a little bit afraid of them is because they’re nuts.

I understand your passion, believe me, but let me gently correct you: Central Park was remarkably untouched by Occupy New York. They took over a tiny park downtown and turned that into a cesspool. I don't think anyone in NYC would have put up with Central Park being desecrated - even Bloomberg who allowed those monsters in and did nothing to stop them.

Bless you for your passion!

The Progressive Movement agenda to take control of the world by mob rule, evidenced by the ill-conceived 17th Amendment, now appears to be backfiring in its face. People are fortunately not as stupid as the Progressive Movement would probably like to think.

Actually if you sit back, think and watch the Trump wave instead of being caught up in it.... it is Trump that should worry.

The establishment has always know the base is sick of them but they had tried and true games to get their guys through the primaries and we all knew we were going to be betrayed once again. Trump has indicated over and over again he is right there with the establishment or will at least compromise with them over and over. They were just to stupid too work with Trump.

Trump has ridden this wave of anger and given a great kabuki show against the propaganda press and anyone else who attacks him but he is already compromising what he has ridden to town on. What is he worth to that base when he compromises all the way down to rino when he rode that huge anti establishment horse into town?.....unless this is a total cult of personality for those following him, which to be honest I could see since people make excuses for every flip flop so far. If this is not just a cult of personality, people are going to get very pissed at being betrayed once again especially by their "anti-establishment" guy, unless he has a come to Jesus moment and begins to understand and take seriously the stances people are voting for him for.

With this type of anger this is not a game but I have never seen so much blindness before from republicans and conservatives either just as long as Trump sticks it to the next guy.

What you say about Cruz is true and I was supporting Cruz before Trump entered the race. A couple of things detract from Cruz with me.

First, he's a politician and he takes money to run, which means he's beholden. I know, they all do it but it doesn't mean he's not going to be beholden to the big money backers. Trump on the other hand appears to be spending his own cash.

Second, and most important to me. Cruz doesn't have any experience in making management or executive decisions. Decision making and negotiating are the two biggest skills required by our president but Cruz doesn't have those skills. Trump, on the other hand, makes decisions and negotiates all day long. It's his job.

Finally, you don't endear your argument on Cruz towards me by calling me a graduate of Trump University. I do have a college degree, was an officer in the military, and have run several successful businesses during my career, so I find it disingenuous on your part to paint all Trump supporters with the same broad brush. They are not the same. Nor are they bereft of the intellect required to make up their own minds without your assistance.

There’s a lot of pent-up anger on the Right in America...we don’t go out and shoot cops; we kinda suck it up. Trump is riding that wave. If he wins, there’s gonna be some “in your face” moments.

What we are witnessing is nothing less than a revolution - Trump has turned the whole Mainstream Media / Clinton / Bush masquerade overboard into Boston Harbor - and I think even he is only just beginning to realise what he has done!

Sort of makes you wonder how the convention would go with a million silent people standing outside doesn’t it?

The GOPe fears the Republican presidents, who will have control over party leadership, that will kick them out. Do you really think McConnell gives a flying rip if the US grants more, less or the same amount of H1B1 VISAS? Not a chance. What he cares about is getting booted from the National Republican Senatorial Committee leadership. McConnell once said organizations such as the Senate Conservatives Fund, which proudly backed candidates the NRSC spurned, “need a punch in the nose.” Guess what, POTUS gets to name all the Political leadership heads. NRSC sole purpose is to reelect republicans, not elect conservatives. Power is based on establishment, not new comers.

Now I know there are a lot of Cruz haters that unwittingly quote the Beltway line about Cruz. Cruz has made it known as POTUS, the GOP power brokers are not going to maintain their leadership roles in these organizations. Not an exactly endearing quality. I am not asking anyone to like or vote for Cruz- I am just asking if you think Trump is going to dump McConnell, Ryan, McCarthy and the gang.

I’ll give you that. The GOP is venal and self-serving. But did you watch that “debate” last night? I’m sorry, but from my perspective that was disqualifying. Trump’s campaign in theory is a good idea but in practice it’s an awful spectacle. Just wait until the Democrats start running ads. The cursing and all the nasty things he has said about women will be enough to lose the election five times over. God knows what else they have him.

In agreement with all your points, but let me add one more, perhaps more important than any other.

The ability to continue on with confidence after a big failure, quickly learn from it, adjust and move on.

I don’t see that ability in any of the others. So far as I know none have experienced a failure or loss of equal magnitude, so we have no way of knowing how they react to such stress personally and to the burden of loss suffered by employees.

Disclosure: I worked in the firm that did urban planning, zoning, documents for local review and approval of his West Side project. In that milieu he is fully focused on all elements of his project vision and the necessary steps to achieve it to successful completion. And yeah, his bombast is on par with Gen. Patton’s, sometimes inappropriate, but hard charging towards the goal.
