Last night in Chicago, a mob of progressives shut down a Donald Trump rally.
The protestors -- described as mostly young millennials -- infiltrated the University of Illinois Pavilion, in central Chicago, and set about subverting the event. They waved Mexican flags -- pro-immigrant, geddit -- and wore t-shirts calling Trump Hitler. There were violent clashes and a policeman was reportedly injured.
The protestors cheered when police announced the rally would be shut down because of security concerns. They revelled in their victory against free speech, taunting the furious Trump fans with chants of 'we won'.
This is American politics now: juvenile, anti-liberal, menacing.
We know that Trump voters are angry. Even angrier, it seems, are those on America's left who just cannot accept that Trump voters exist.
Weirdly, both sides want Donald Trump to win the Republican nomination. The Trump fans, obviously, because they love annoying the world with their candidate. But so too the anti-Trumpists, because they violently want to have a moral political purpose.
No wonder Donald Trump says he 'gladly accepts the mantle of anger'. He must see that anger on all sides fuels his rise....

The crap people are being told on tv is frightening. We had a presidential candidate attacked by an anti American pro ISIS freak today and they keep saying the candidate bears responsibility.

I’ve seen conservative news sites talking about a black Trump supporter, Robert King Bullock, getting murdered by Chicago leftist thugs - but nothing from main stream.
They all will say or do anything to try and stop Trump!
I asked another Cruz supporter this question and, funny enough, he is yet to get back to me.

Every time I see videos of him like this I get misty-eyed. I believe Trump is more like him than any of the other candidates, in style, demeanor, savvy, sheer love of country (if not Bronx salty language).
Excellent point bramps. But don’t forget to add an aspect of violence to it.

He had his moment, and he let it slip by. It’s a tell. We all know who the real enemy is, even Ted, and it certainly isn’t Trump. Chicago separated the men from the boys. Tomorrow Rush will blast Cruz, because he deserves to be blasted.

Mr. Trump wasn’t just attacked. The attacker, a remarkably fit man saturated with hate and absolute determination to murder, bull rushed Mr. Trump with the full intent to assassinate him, just as Michale Brown bull rushed Officer Wilson. All anyone needs to do is seethe look of full Islamic hatred on that subhuman’s face after he’d been stopped to know what he tried to do.
