Navy secretary to Marines: Women in combat is irreversible

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. (AP) — Navy Secretary Ray Mabus had a simple message for 1,500 Marines and sailors: The decision to let women compete for all military combat positions is as irreversible as earlier edicts to integrate blacks and allow gays and lesbians to openly serve.

It was Mabus' third visit to a major Marine Corps base to explain the issue to rank-and-file audiences since Defense Secretary Ash Carter said in December that all combat positions would be open to women.

Mabus repeatedly emphasized that standards won't be lowered....

If history teaches anything, NOTHING is irreversible, save death.

Change immigration law to allow more Europeans in and less third world countries, get white blue collar men stoked to vote for their best interests, change the regime and crush the party and rebuild it if necessary.

That would reverse a lot of things and within years, not decades.

Regardless, performance will suffer, unit cohesion will break down

Yes, some women are definitely surplus population, and thus ripe for cannon fodder.

Let them serve by company so we can see swaths of them mowed down my ISIS fire.No way that will demoralize America. No way that would pressure Americans to say, “No boots on the ground!”

Bring them on. No reason at all we shouldn’t have the balless dead and their butchers bill. Give is your daughters America, and we will turn them into cordite scented pulp./S

Nothing is irreversible. If principles, hundreds of years old, can be turned on a whim, then so can any law they made in the last four years.

Irreversible? You mean like the Marxist Communism that grips, like, say, Cuba? That will last about as long as the Castro brothers still live, and most of it dies with them.

Some policies only stay in place so long as they are a memorial to some “great” person, but most “great” people throughout history have ended up being trashed by succeeding generations, and their legacies crumble into fine dust and are whisked away with the breeze.

Some even more quickly than others.

Mabus needs to go out on an actual combat mission with the Marines. He might get a lesson in fracking.

The circumstances aren’t remotely comparable— women are biologically physiologically less strong.

Are you sure? If and when a big war comes will we need to re-think our ideas of feminism as other nations have. socrates said: “Only the dead have seen the end of waar” It will be with us always. We might like to socially engineer but history and our enemis might hsvr different ideas.

This atrocity can be reversed instantaneously if we get leaders with the guts to do it. Women or openly-serving gays have no place at all in the infantry (or, for that matter, artillery). The ladies are not physically up to it and they provide a dangerous distraction and divider in combat.

I am disgusted that all these non-serving or as in the case of Mabus, ship-driver politicians telling those of us who have served in combat what works based on liberal psychodrama and big-dollar interests.

We haven't had a real infantry fight for a few years. Think Battle of Hue City, or Is Drang, or Pork Chop Hill, or Betio or Iwo or Normandy or a thousand others. We have been deceived to believe that convoying around Iraq or Afghanistan in heavily-armored vehicles is "combat".

The whole things is a deadly scam and while they say that they are only after "women who can make the standard" what they really mean is that have a whole huge new pool of bodies to pull from when they decide to send our kids into a war. Anyone who has served knows exactly what happens to any young woman that serves with young men: a certain bunch persistently hounds them until they give in. If the guys don't get them, the lesbians do.

I am disgusted with all of our senior leaders who have gone along with this rather than openly and energetically protesting and resigning if necessary. They know better.

“Navy secretary to Marines: Women in combat is irreversible”
In other news, law of gravity repeal is irreversible.
Until you step off a cliff.

Sooner or later we will be forced to fight a major land war on an enemy’s terms, an enemy who has figured out methods to deny much of our technical edge. When that day comes, our PC military will discover that the enemy is not PC, and our military will break and be wiped out. It almost happened in Korea in 1950, and our all-male Army was 10X tougher then than our soft and gentle Army of today.

anyone or any group in combat is reversible because they tended die if they’re not able to compete

it’s a proven fact mixed gender units are inferior to all male units.

yet we’re supposed to deliberately handicap ourselves?

i guess we’re trying to get more of our people maimed and killed.

and yes, deliberately working to undermine the effectiveness of US fighting forces is sabotage.

otherwise known as treason.

Considering the majority of European nations are receiving immigrants and gave birth rates below replacement levels, you aren’t going to see mass immigration from Europe anytime soon, regardless of the laws. Better to go to an Australian style points system based strictly on skills and ability to support oneself. Family reunification must end as well.

Like decadent Rome, the best way for America to reap the inevitable reward for its abominations is to first ruin its military might.
