Cruz’s elimination and the GOPe’s Colorado disaster give Trump a big boost
The Coach's Team ^ | 4/14/16 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

Ted Cruz’s pending mathematical elimination and the Colorado Disaster are game changing events that put Donald Trump well on the road to winning the 1237 delegates he will need to win the Republican nomination.

New York’s primary will eliminate Cruz. His magic number to be eliminated is just 49. He’s not even campaigning in New York.

This is game changer number one. When Cruz is not only eliminated but blown away and humiliated in the most delegate rich, Northeastern state, how will the GOPe sell him to the remaining Republican primary states? Clearly they won’t be able to make the case for Cruz elsewhere because he will have proved he can’t win any more states than Romney did. How does Cruz campaign in the remaining states? Who would listen to him?

When voters are given the choice between voting for Trump and voting to have a contested convention in which the GOP establishment will select MITTBUSHJEBDOLEPAULMCCAIN or another proven loser, they will vote for Trump.

The second game changer is the Disaster in Colorado. It makes no difference that Cruz and the Colorado GOPe followed their rules. In politics, perception is reality. In Colorado where the ballot was missing a Trump delegate’s box; where the #NeverTrump people tweeted out “We did it” (then lied about being hacked); and where the head GOPe thug in Colorado said...

Cruz does much better in states that the people are not allowed to vote.

Pray America wakes

My guess is that in a week or so Cruz will begin facing “suggestions” that he exit the race for the good of the party so voters can unify around Trump. If he ignores the suggestions then the pressure will ramp up until he gets out. Once you are mathematically out of it you need to move on.

These antics Cruz is pulling with second ballot delegates is just that, antics. Its not a winning strategy. He’s not winning first ballot delegates and that’s the issue.

"Coach puppy is all about desperation. That and a huge helping of fantasy if he thinks Trump “won” anything from his Colorado failures.

Meey me here one week from today, after Trump wins New York and have your excuse list ready RE: Cruz loses.

Yep, the Colorado mess up wasn’t about Trump “whining” - it was ALL about solidifying his support and gaining support from people who agree that the system is rigged.

Thank you for the correction. The Arena website at the convention stated the maximum capacity at 8,500.

The article in a Colorado paper just before the convention stating that 2/3 of the proposed delegates were undecided. 100+ were for Cruz and 60+ were for Trump.

Then we hear through the grapevine that nearly all had been pre-slated for Jeb. So that explains the 2/3 “undecided delegates.” And it explains the 10 second speeches. They had their delegates in the back pocket and were going through the motions to give the appearance of a selection process.

See post # 11.

The GOPee will nominate Mitt Romney in order to guarantee a win by Hillary.

Cruz lost me with Carson. Showed he was despicable backing professional violent left wing protesters over Trump at one of his rallies. Then this CO disaster doesn't look good.

All lies from Trump, his henchmen and the LSM.

Coach doesn’t have to call..Cruz knows it already and has known it way before the Pyrrhic victory in Wisconsin.

So what is your excuse for Cruz going out and sounding like A leftist when he blamed Trump for the action of paid leftist agitators in Chicago?

Cruz basically is the path to 4 more years of democrats, always has been. He has no shot at a general election win and that was before all the Trump V Cruz nonsense.

Others besides Trump are looking at the legality of what they have done in Colorado.

From another article, I’ve yet to digest.

“A presidential convention related filing that the Colorado GOP submitted to the Republican National Committee could cost the Colorado Republicans their delegation. The document in question is the Rule 16(f) filing which includes information on rules, policies, and procedures covering the electing, binding, and certification of delegates leading up to the national convention.”

Cruz was polling 4th or 5th at the time. Team Jeb! was spending their millions on a great deal of internal polling that was never publicized. They knew they were going to have a problem.

Colorado has more Independent voters than Republicans and they could have crossed over for Trump earlier in the year.

Cruzers live in a distorted reality where they refuse to believe what comes directly out of his mouth so that they can portray him as the anointed one.

Well, I respectfully disagree with Mr Robinson...

This isn't a coronation for the most popular Prom King......it's a "no holds barred" nomination process to see who the best candidate is to run for the Presidency.

Anyone that didn't understand they would have to beat the GOPe using their own "terms/rules", didn't come prepared for the fight.

Unfortunately, all the moaning/whining from Trump's campaign about Cruz's "legal" tactics makes me think they will be totally CLUELESS in the fight against the Socialist/Dem machine....and even with the GOPe's unwilling help, it won't make that campaign any better, as shown by their own losses with McCain and Romney.

At least I can see how a continued fight against Cruz could be the best "learning tool" Trump will get should he "win" the nomination.

Beyond that, with the terrible problems our country is facing concerning Iran, Al Qaeda and ISIS....the last thing we need is another limp-wristed President in the White House, whether Hillary's waiting in the wings or not.....so I'll wait and see how the end of the game turns out...without demanding one of the fighters "surrender" so the other one has it "easier".

“Ted Cruz’s pending mathematical elimination ...”

I don’t understand that phrase. How is Cruz going to be eliminated before the convention?
