Less than 6 months ago Newt said Trump was not a serious candidate and laughed at the person asking him about Trump.
Newt may be sharp in a debate but he has plenty of Elitest tendencies. Think Nancy Pelosi and a couch.
Newt was not on before but now seems to have boarded the Trump express.
I’ve my reservations about it. Him being rather old, plus the baggage, and too much generational drift.
VP probably isn’t the best use of his talents either.

Probably not as Gingrich helped to pass NAFTA which Trump has railed against. But Gingrich would be outstanding as Chief of Staff.

It's up to us, though, to educate the posters here who don't really know about him, but "like" him.
If you mean the younger Duncan Hunter, I say terrific.
He would be an excellent choice. Just for your information, my choice would be Sarah Palin.

Amen to that. I know Newt had said some things were so right on, BUT he is also part of the CFR Establishment. I hope Donald does not pick an establishment or else he will have to watch his back every moment. Can’t trust a member.
Walker is a wimp and was lousy in the primaries. He’s fine in Wisconsin ( he’s just a regional pol ), but he isn’t a PITBULL, which the VEEP has to be!

Newt has been very supported of Trump and I would have thought so too. I guess Newt just made it official. Very good news indeed.
I don’t understand the difference with Chief of Staff vs an effective VP. Wasn’t Cheney more than just a funeral stand in and couldn’t Newt be the new Cheney? I think Newt is a good idea but would just like to understand the COS role better.

I know who I do NOT want, but finding someone I DO want is a problem for me. Everyone has been asking me that for months and I can't come up with a single name. I'm hoping that Trump will pleasantly surprise me.

I saw it too. Newt was at his finest. When Newt is on his game he is simply amazing.
