The plot really is moving fast. Danerys gets taken to the Dothraki, told she’s lucky to just be in an old age home for Khal widows, and now she’s killed the leaders of the Dothraki while proving herself supernaturally powerful to the tribe - and she hasn’t even shown her dragons to this group yet.
Jon came back last week to turn in his black cloak, and he’s already met with Sansa AND has a reason to go back - not to take back Winterfell but take back Winterfell AND save a little brother. Won’t fight just to take back the castle for Sansa, but will to fight what may or may not be his little brother.

The main theme of this week:
* Jon has a reason to take an army to Winterfell, and likely has the Wildlings to do it plus any still local soldiers in the name of Sansa if not Rickon
* Danerys has likely gained the Dothraki army, and she can use that to conquer the cities she lost before taking both Unsullied and Dothraki to Westeros. And she looks good to Mereen if she didn’t just fly away to leave foreigners in charge but to show up with the traditional conquering horde to save them instead.

The interesting twists:
* she is now the khalisi she said she was, of all of the Dothraki, per the vision she had and Drogo’s promise
* Jon can now fulfill the vision Millisandra had of him going back to Winterfell with an army, mixed Wildlings and any Stark loyalists

And whether it is Jon or Sansa as heir, either of them as King/Queen of the north can give various lands to the Wildlings legitimately. Or if it is Rickon, dude, they brought two siblings in to save you, so you make them subjects. Make them subjects for military service, which brings them into the feudal system.

It definitely looks like the Pink Letter in substance, if not color.

Can you imagine the next deal Tyrion makes is “you offered her ships to get rid of her, she has dragons and Dothraki, too, give us even more ships to get rid of ALL of them”.

It would be an interesting twist if Daenerys says the Dothraki can take slaves - leaving all slaves alone but killing the masters they don’t take as slaves.
Kind of like when she took the unsullied, then had them kill all the masters.

Best episode this season. I liked it a lot.

Nary a predictable scene in the whole episode, and there was even some humor thrown in (dinner table scene at Castle Black).

The last scene was too cool for words.

Daenarys does know how to make her point doesn’t she?

As always - the plot continues to thicken/evolve and stay interesting.

May I recommend the “Riftwar Saga” by Raymond Feist? (Sp?) Start with “Magician: Apprentice” - some good writing and a great story if you enjoy epic fantasy.

That was really good and I do need to acknowledge that starting with Sansa/Snow and ending with Danaery’s weenie roast was pretty epic compared to the previous shows.

Of course, Martin isn't the worst.

My vote would be for Robert Jordan and his 'Wheel of Time' series...first book was released
in 1990...he died before finishing it...Brand Sanderson finished it: books 12, 13, & 14
in 2013...Martin is a piker by comparison...my fear is that the same will happen with him and
this series.

I read somewhere that Game of Thrones is one of the most expensive shows per episode to create. And given the cost, they are NOT going to have the plot spin anymore since they are not getting the next book out on which to base the show.
They are free to move the plot forward and will do so, regardless of George R R Martin’s speed.

“Daenarys does know how to make her point doesn’t she?”

imho - the best scene of the season. Dany standing there with a smile (smirk?), while the Khal is telling her in no uncertain terms exactly how (and by how many) she is going to be raped... then a totally unexpected twist.

Well played.

I’m now really looking forward to Cersei’s payback to the High Sparrow and Sansa’s to Ramsay Bolton.

I would love to see both happen. :)

I thought for sure it was a body double because Emilla Clarke had said she didn’t want to appear nude anymore and rumor is she got a clause in her contract that she didn’t have to.

But she’s confirmed that it’s all her.
