“Riding Dirty” The Curious Case of Philando Castile – Falcon Heights, MN Police Shooting…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 7-8-16 | sundance

Posted on 07/08/2016 12:54:31 PM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

MAJOR UPDATE BELOW: In order to give the update context we are placing the update at the conclusion of the original outline.

By now everyone is aware of the officer involved shooting of Philando Castile that became a viral BLM activist case as a direct result of his girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds (aka Lavish Reynolds) live-streaming the aftermath from their vehicle. – BACK STORY HERE –

NOTE: It is critical to remember -as you review the images and the video- optically the live stream was captured as a mirror image. Some video uploads mirror the image, it can be confusing, you have to reset your reference points. Philando Castile was driving, Diamond Reynolds was the passenger.

During the uploaded video narration Ms. Reynolds stated the police officer pulled them over for a broken tail light.

There are several aspects of the narrative as told that didn’t pass the sniff test, however, something about the “tail light” just didn’t seem to make sense. Especially when you consider it was daylight when they were pulled over; and where –in the aftermath media video– it can be noted the tail lights were operable.

“Ears are like fingerprints, they are used to match suspects to captured images.”

Yep, and the ears appear to match. As do the facial hair, the glasses, and the dreads.

At this point I’m going to tentatively assume the perp in the convenience store video is also the guy in the car.

So you hate your brother because he’s a cop?

Look, go troll someone else. I do not hate my brother, he's even more outraged than I am. He's an even stronger advocate for cops to live by each and every law that citizens must comply with, including requiring all officers to comply with the same gun laws (bullet bans, background checks for ammo, restriction on capacity or types of weapons, etc.)

So you're really barking up the wrong tree.

Are you still defending Philando Castile and trashing the cops? Just answer that, and remember your original post where you wanted to see the cop in handcuffs.

Again the trolling. I hope you’re amused.

I think the officer should be arrested, charged, and defend his actions in a court of law. That is what would happen if you or I gun someone down under those circumstances, and I absolutely do not believe public employees should operate under a separate justice system, nor a separate set of laws.

You obviously see this as some ‘cop hating’ thing. I call it the constitution, the basis of our form of government. Feel free to go jump to another country where officials are granted special powers at their own whim, that’s not this country.

“This whole deal is very, very puzzling.”

Yes it is. I believe that one of the officers was calling for EMS, but nobody held pressure to stop the bleeding???

I found it incredible that she was so calm and detached. Something wasn’t right. That officer had been completely freaked out by SOMETHING and felt threatened. We’ll never know what, unless he had a body cam.

And I mean threatened by that woman. She was involved some way to cause this, I think.

I think the woman’s behavior was some contributing factor.

Read the story yourself with a source contacted in addition to what the girlfriend told the media.

http://www.startribune.com/philando-castle-had-permit-to-carry-gun/386054481/

Two or more sources means you print the story.

The Good Book says two or more sources make it true.

Read the story published using two sources by the Minneapolis newspaper.

The girlfriend being the first source plus another contacted by the newspaper.

Linked in post #128.

Two or more sources is truth in the Good Book.

“Castile’s mother has been quoted that both he and his sister hold permits. Why would she say something like that about her daughter if it wasn’t true?”

Just playing devils advocate here. Maybe these adult children lied to their mother about the cc status.

IN the comments at the link it is suggested that the driver and passenger where told the stop was about a tail light not to raise suspicion. If they where the robbers, telling um it was a tail light won’t get them worked up. If it was not, after checking IDs simply say “please get it fixed tomorrow” and send them on their way. When they stop to look they can wonder WTF the cop was talking about.

And I tend to believe that. Back when I was not exactly a fine upstanding citizen I would be stopped for what I still call “stupid shyt” like burned out license plate lights (that where functional).. just so they could check to make sure I was not up to no good.

They never said that, but they checked my ID, insurance and what not to make sure I was on the up and up. Granted this was 20-25 years ago, I doubt the procedure has changed much.

There is dash cam video from the sqad car.

and thus far, you have no witnesses other than those involved unless i missed something.

and at first glance at the photos from the robbery and the shooting.. they look like the same person. Not till you look at them for a while do you notice there are differences.

your argument does not work. once it’s drawn and pointed at you. it’s to late.

it’s not how police officers are trained. in situations like this, if the officer is properly trained, the training kicks in and takes over.

Just playing devils advocate here. Maybe these adult children lied to their mother about the cc status.

None of Castile’s charges or convictions involve guns, violence, threats against or fleeing police. Since he didn’t have any felony convictions, he was eligible to apply for a permit to carry a weapon. Sources confirm that Castile had received a valid permit in Hennepin County.

This is also confirmed here: Philando Castile had permit to carry gun

A bit of explanation: previous quotes were from the Ramsey County Sheriff, where the shooting occurred. But, Castile lived in Hennepin County at some point in the past. Apparently, he applied for a CCW permit then, and it remains valid throughout MN until renewal time.

scanner recordings seem to back up the claim that the officer thought he was stopping the robbery suspects.

Yes, but I'm not sure what it will show. Castile never got out of the vehicle.

and thus far, you have no witnesses other than those involved unless i missed something.

And conversely, you have no witnesses to contradict those involved, unless I missed something.

Finally, Castile has been confirmed to have a CCW permit, issued in Hennepin County. A person that holds a CCW/CHL is so unlikely to commit a violent crime, that it's statistically zero.

Most likely, Castile's only offense was to resemble a robbery suspect. Combine that with miscommunication between him and the officer and the officer's trepidation, and you end up with a tragic outcome.

That still may happen..

Thankfully those sorting things out and getting to the bottom of things are not as jumpy as you. The police know where he is (he is under armed guards at his home if I recall correctly) he is not going anywhere.

best we can hope for is dash cam video with audio..

or witnesses.

That department does not use body cams.

unfortunately, that is the most likely outcome.
