FBI Pros Question Decision Not to Charge Hillary Clinton
Sharylattkisson.com ^ | July 9,2016 | Sharyl Attkisson

Here are some of the observations by FBI professionals who wish to remain anonymous because their opinions could affect their job prospects:

Why wasn’t Clinton’s interview recorded? On May 22, 2014 the Justice Department announced a substantial change in policy “creating a presumption that FBI…agents will electronically record,” expressing a preference for video recordings over audio. “It appears to me they made a deal not to record,” says one observer, which flies in the face of the idea that Clinton was treated like anybody else.

Typically it’s the U.S. Attorney’s office, not FBI agents, deciding whether charges will be filed. “Director Comey seems to have taken on responsibilities far beyond the FBI’s purview–he assumed the duties of the Agent, US Attorney and Grand Jury.”

“It appears no Grand Jury was empaneled for this investigation,” says an insider. “This is absurd, Grand Juries are used in nearly all criminal investigations” and that’s where the decision is made as to whether the standard for charges has been met. (Attkisson Note: I have no information on whether or not a Grand Jury was empaneled)

A two-day turnaround between the interview with the target and a decision not to prosecute is “unheard of.” “Even in the most straightforward of cases, the time span between a target interview and prosecution opinion takes weeks, not days. If a good interview were conducted [with Clinton] on Saturday, there would have been leads or other new pieces of information to verify or investigate prior to any conclusion to the case.”

I am not aware of any investigation where a government official went to such extreme measures to comb through the government records,” said a career FBI professional.

Well, ya coulda started off asking Sir Edmund about a missing 18 minutes of audio tape, vs why we shouldn't prosecute for willful destruction of subpoenaed evidence!

Comey is well-respected by politicians in both political parties and by many within his own ranks.

COMEY HAS BEEN IN THE CLINTON CAMP FOR A LONG TIME...

Lest anyone think FBI Director Comey was non-partisan and not another liberal lawyer, take note:

During the Senate Whitewater Investigation 20 years ago, James Comey was looking into the conduct of President Bill Clinton and first lady Hillary Clinton.

The investigation was to determine whether Bill Clinton used his political position as governor of Arkansas (in the 1980s) to push through an illegal loan to benefit Bill and Hillary's business partner in Whitewater.

Several people involved in Whitewater went to jail, but no criminal prosecution was in the cards for Bill and Hillary.

Remember James Comey was the Deputy Special Counsel for the Whitewater investigation.

———————————————

The pardon of billionaire Marc Rich (who traded illegally with America's enemies including Iran) by President Bill Clinton was something that everyone knew reeked of impropriety after learning that Rich's wife donated $450,000 to the Clinton Library. Again James Comey oversaw investigations of the pardon matters.

Unbelievably James Comey did not recommend charging the Clinton in any of these matters.

————————————————————

U.S. Attorney James Comey – opted to prosecute Martha Stewart in 2003.

He said at that time, “I thought of my hesitation about the case due to someone being rich and famous, and how it shouldn’t be that way. I decided we had to do it.”

Martha Stewart spent 5 months in prison…after being jailed for lying to investigators.

————————————————————

Wrote a letter in support of Eric Holder as Attorney General, even though Holder was the one pushing for Marc Rich pardon years before.

—————————————

As deputy attorney general in 2004, Comey was involved in the investigation of Berger.

Berger pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of intentionally removing documents from the National Archives and destroying some of them. He was fined $50,000, sentenced to 100 hours of community service and two years probation. Also, his national security license was stripped for two years.

—————————————

Comey appointed Patrick J. Fitzgerald, a U.S. attorney in Chicago, to act as special counsel in conducting the inquiry into what became known as “Plamegate.”

At the time Comey made the appointment, Fitzgerald was already godfather to one of Comey’s children.

In 2005, Fitzgerald prosecuted Libby, a prominent adviser to then Vice President Dick Cheney, in the Plame investigation.

BTW, both Richard Armitage and Colin Powell knew the leaker was NOT Scooter Libby, but they stood silent while Scotter went off to serve time. Fitzgerald left out testimony purposely; i.e. illegal tampering.

Nixon is spinning in his grave.

Not recording an interview, especially the target, is unheard in any investigative standards used today. Hillary and her team negotiated at, so there was no way they could get her for perjury. She learned that from hubby Bill.

Not only did he not attend, but he said there were 4-5 agents at the interview...When asked if he talked to the agents afterwards, he said no, not all of them...

Comey phoned it in because the finding was predetermined.

Comey also called Hillary on her personal phone

1-800-462-5427 which translates to....

1-800-ImA-LIAR

They damn sure went after Gen Petraeus and so called reporter was a fellow WP grad , a Reserve Army Major promotable to LTC. Both of them were ruined. Clinton did much more and damn sure exposed our nation’s classified INFO from State to our nation’s enemies. I find her lies and the manner she did everything GROSS NEGLIGENCE and a slap in the face to America, our embassies and staff and to our military.

I have done the same as I saw senior officers falsify unit readiness reports in 73-74 in Korea. I refuse to be in any Army full of manage by statistics BS. I never was asked to lie in special forces. I always had the best NCO’s and good officers in SF. Mech Infantry units lie about track vehicle status regularly.

I believe Bill Clinton’s “secret” meeting with Loretta Lynch was to give her a heads up about what Hillary was going to discuss with Comey and to tell her Comey would give her cover and she had the Attorney General job as long as she wanted when Hillary was elected.

You’re probably right. Comey and Hillary probably discussed grandchildren and Bill’s golf in Arizona.

If it were legislators we had elected, I would too. But I see little reason for FBI agents to lose their jobs over something that’s going nowhere.
