Cruz’s favorable rating nosedives after Trump non-endorsement
HotAir ^ | July 25, 2016 | Allahpundit

Ed mentioned this in passing in the last post but it deserves extra attention. How often do you see a guy’s favorable rating within his own party cut nearly in half in the span of two weeks?

Cruz’s move, however, appears to have backfired. While 60% of Republican voters had a positive impression of the former presidential candidate before the convention, just 33% have one now.

Man has integrity

You mean the man who didn’t honor his pledge and got booed off stage?
That integrity?

Cruz did more to unite the right than the GOPe and everyone else has been trying to do in years. Talk about shooting himself and his career in the foot.

Nope. A man with integrity would have honored his pledge.

If Cruz could not honor the pledge in question, what does that say about his commitment to honor his Pledge to support and defend the US Constitution?

Man has integrity.

No, man is in it only for himself. Man is petulant child. Man is universally despised.

Comment as much as you like.

At 30%, there won’t be a next election for Cruz.

Just don’t tell the rest of us to move on.

He could have said, “I pledged to endorse the candidate, DT, so I am doing that today. Vote your conscience.” That would have been a class act.

But no, he had to be a jerk.

Yup. Political career suicide, live on international television.

Cruz revealed himself to be unconcerned about the election of Hillary. Now we know Cruz was asking Hillary for money during the Republican convention.

Intergity? Maybe but less smarts than a fifth grader. Hi actions and lack of words proved without a doubt that he is no more than a spoiled brat who has never had to reason for himself.

He could of held face: Stating that though he and Trump had had their disagreements; he would be honored to support him in everyway he could; bringing the US back to the country that the founders planned for.

He would have brought together the base and had a chance to President one day.

Integrity without common sense is like cutting your nose off to spite your face. Useless!!!!

No surprise here. What Cruz perceived as principled, people saw as pettiness.

I’m telling you to move on.

The owner of this website is even moving on. We need to win this election. Donald Trump is our nominee.

Cruz wasn’t going to win. He is sold out, and not that interested in American industry. Complete globalist.

To heck with Cruz.

Plus, Ted’s own daughter does not like or respect him. Many find that odd.

Am sure that I will catch a lot of flak over this comment. Yes, he is a jerk but as a Senator for Texas he has a significantly more conservative record that Cornyn or Kay Bailey Hutchinson whom he replaced. Suggest we wait and see what he does as a Senator the rest of his term rather than sending him to the gallows. Likely prospects for his replacement could be Dewhurst, Perry or even George P. Bush - none of whom our family would ever vote for.

I was a Cruz supporter until recently. He has not acted honorably and is just another establishment politician.
