The Incredible shrinking Man – #NeverTrumper – Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck and other #NeverTrumpers are on the wrong side of America’s moral war and needs right now. Get with it or get out of America’s way

Donald Trump’s support and ‘America first’ message continues to grow as he delivers speech after speech right out of the park. Trump’s recent immigration speech was delivered from the heart, reflecting guts, clarity, passion and empathy for most American’s real concerns. Now we hear an even better speech from Trump on national security covering our military, vets and risks we face. He is promising to build back our military, care for our vets – our real national heroes who have been violated, ignored and thrown to the back of the line over and over by Obama and Hillary.

Trump echoes and reflects the best of American character, history, potential, achievement, spirituality and hope. In contrast, Hillary continues to cough, lie, cheat, steal, accuse and cough some more as she plans America’s demise.

It is truly sad to see how far Glen Beck has fallen. I used to have great respect for him while he was at FOX.

In all honesty, he and his entire staff did a remarkable job educating his audience about numerous topics while using illustrations and props that accurately conveyed complex issues and topics in such a manner as to make them accessible and understandable to his viewing audience.

His involvement in the Tea Party and his herculean efforts in helping to organize, coordinate and help bring about their massive rally at the Mall in Washington DC are to be commended. If for nothing else, he deserves to be recognized and remembered for what he accomplished in direct service to the nation.

After that, his show on Fox began to deteriorate. The cult of Mormonism began to seriously cloud his judgment and overtly seep into the narrative of his show and subject matter.

Whether his conservative views and hard hitting documentaries exposing the truth concerning various topics and the ultimate objectives of secret societies, or his Mormonism led to the cancelation of his show, I have no idea. But after he left FOX and started The Blaze Network; it got off to a solid start, however over time his Mormon cult "theology" tainted his views and show. Then Mr. Beck rapidly began "going off the rails" and it soon reached "critical mass" where he and his show decended to the point that he alienated a large portion of his listening audience as a direct result of his erratic views and behavior. Now, multitudes like myself and family no longer listen to him or his show which is truly unfortunate.

One factor which may (and I say "may" because the following theory is speculation based upon observation) have a direct bearing on Mr. Beck's personal decline and his failing show/ratings is this:

One of the premier hallmarks of his show on FOX was Mr. Beck's pursuit of THE TRUTH. In regard to numerous topics, Mr. Beck sought to thoroughly and objectively examine the facts of a given topic, report the facts and the truth, draw practical applications which he and his audience could personally apply to their lives and "let the chips fall where they may".

It appears Mr. Beck faithfully followed this tried and true method with every topic he covered except for ONE, and this one topic is ultimately the most important issue and in the case of Mr. Beck; intensely personal (because the woman he fell in love with was a Mormon and she staunchly refused to marry him UNLESS he converted to Mormonism, which he proceeded to do. She then consented to marry him and they now have children who are being raised as Mormons):

The one all-consuming issue is: The comparison of the cult of Mormonism with biblical Christianity.

Over the years Mr. Beck has had numerous guests on his FOX show who are theologically sound, biblical, Evangelical Christians. They are men and women of faith who are supremely well versed and educated within their various fields of study and people, some of whom Mr. Beck has a personal relationship with and respects.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever that a number of these trusted, Evangelical friends and colleagues have, out of personal love for Glen Beck, and a genuine concern for the fate of his immortal soul and that of his entire family have gently and lovingly confronted Mr. Beck with the Gospel, the claims of Christ and biblical Christianity. I am also certain they have drawn a clear comparison and distinction between the false teachings of Joseph Smith, the false doctrines of the cult of Mormonism and the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and the doctrines of biblical Christiaity.

This comparison and contrast has led Mr. Beck (as it indeed leads all of us who hear the simple message of the Gospel of Christ) to a personal crisis of belief and faith: You see both can not be right and theologically correct because the two are contrary to one another and doctrinally diametrically opposed to each other.

Although Mr. Beck has been lovingly presented with the truth along with the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ on numerous occasions, by friends and colleagues, he has unfortunately, in spite of the facts and the truth concerning biblical Christianity and the cult of Mormonism, thus far rejected the truth and willfully clings to Mormonism (It is highly likely that the personal ramifications to his entire family should he reject Mormonism and come to saving faith in the Christ of the Bible, continues to play an enormous role in his reluctance to accept Christ).

One can only speculate on the ultimate reason behind what is happening with Mr. Beck. However, if the above is indeed true (and given the depth of spiritual and doctrinal maturity of the many Evangelical Christians Mr. Beck has on numerous occasions invited to be guests on his show, and counts as personal friends and acquaintances; the above scenario is well within realm of possibility) I can not begin to fathom the depth of internal spiritual tirmoil, emotional stress and personal struggle Mr. Beck must be experiencing on a continual basis.

Remember: Mr. Beck consistently sought to discover the truth by thoroughly and objectively examining the facts of a given topic, report the facts and the truth, draw practical applications which he and his audience could personally apply to their lives and "let the chips fall where they may".

However, this has not been the course of action he has chosen when confronted with the person and work of Christ and biblical Christianity in comparison to the cult of Mormonism.

To know The Truth (John 14:6) and yet reject it must weigh heavy on Glen's heart and soul (Romans 1:18 - 19). I sincerely pray for his salvation and for the salvation of his entire family.

Thanks for your thoughtful post.

My analysis of Beck is perhaps less eloquent.

I agree with your analysis of his work up to the end of his run at Fox. There he rose to a point where the break to form The Blaze and Mercury looked not just do-able, but sound from a business perspective.

Then, with the modest success that he had with those businesses, he seemed to think that he had discovered– and was perhaps chosen in the actual biblical sense– to proclaim Ted Cruz as the savior of the US and perhaps even mankind. I'm not exaggerating in this observation, he as much as said those words.

The problem that he ran into was twofold: one, Ted Cruz was not prepared for the onslaught of a presidential campaign. In the end, he and Beck appeared stunned that they'd been run over by the combined freight trains of the DNC and Trump. In retrospect, what the hell did they expect? A cakewalk?

The other problem that Beck ran into is that his 'Morning Zoo' act is pretty much burned into his DNA. And while some of the hype (the Restoring events come to mind) was thoughtful and perhaps even effective, his stunts with Cruz (teddy bears at the border) were at once cringe-inducing and outrageous to the people he'd earlier won over. Another example: the fake Oval Office, and Cruz falling into that charade. It was godawful, with their slobbery googly-eyed love gazing. He and Cruz seemed to be on some kind of bromance honeymoon.

I don't fault Cruz for being anything other than naive, perhaps tone-deaf, and severely misguided by a guy who seemed to know what he was talking about. It has to be especially bitter for both of them– Cruz for falling for Beck, and Beck destroying what he believed to be the savior of the country he no doubt loves. Bitter for him, more bitter for the people who put their faith and money behind the two of them.

I'm in no way a Trumpster, I have great reservations there. But I recognize that good is coming out of this.

Beck went up to the proverbial mountaintop and he gave in to his own desire– to be a kingmaker, to have a legacy, to be more than that morning zoo guy. He believed his own hype.

In the end he'll be remembered scatalogically perhaps as Ted Cruz' chief ankle-humper. That's an apt description.

And whatever else can be said of Trump (and I think that Beck made this observation) – he is tearing everyone's masks off. The jury is still out on that– we'll see.

Beck has turned out to be the Lonesome Rhodes character of that 1957 movie A Face in the Crowd.

You know that he once met with one of Soros' lackeys– this is about 5 years ago–  and the guy gave him a copy of that movie as they parted company

I remember Beck mentioning that incident while he was still with FAUX. Maybe there was a nice fat check inside the DVD cover.
