Jesus Created Marijuana, And It Should Be Legal
Patheos ^ | Sept. 8, 2016 | Benjamin L. Corey

If you grew up during the era of big wheels, horrid hair styles, and the Reagan administration, you probably grew up thinking that green plant you see above you was a really dangerous item. This is especially true if you grew up a Christian during that era.

I mean, it was the lowest level “drug” on the list of drugs, but it was the gateway drug. This gateway drug was to be especially feared, because it represented the slippery slope to every other drug or form of immorality. Even trying it once could result in you no longer wanting to wear your denim skirt. Try it twice and you might swap out Sandi Patty for Motley Crue. Three times? Well, by the third time you wouldn’t even want it anymore, because you’ll be in a dark ally buying an even harder drug with the money you got from pawning your wedding ring.

It was all a bunch of nonsense.

All these years later, it is still a bunch of nonsense.

Then go back to my post to which you replied. I said pot (as in your leafy gad) is a non nutrient, not the hemp seed.

Stop hallucinating! :)

Now many are saying that cancer rates are increasing and I will predict that cancer rates will again rise, this time even more so then ever before, in the next 10 years or so. The peak will not stop until people discover that pot and cancer are linked and even then it will be denied by pot propagandists.

What were cancer rates pre-1937 when it was made illegal? who knows, maybe they spiked because use of it ended... There were all sorts of legal snake oils back in the early days, maybe the Cannabis based ones were actually working. CBD oil is now again legal in all 50 states, which is what I smoke in my ecig now days... there is NO high associated with CBD's but it eases my chronic back pain from a roll over car accident I was tossed out of, in my teen years after a few too many beers.

So hypothetically 10 years from now, Colorado announces their states Cancer death rate is cut by 50% in the past 5 years since they legalized 12 years prior, is that enough to start rethinking your position? I know I hate hypotheticals, just curious what proof would be enough... I know numerous people that have died from Cancer, granted a relatively small sample, but to my knowledge, not one of them ever smoked pot and less than 50% of them ever even smoked tobacco...

I gave a link to food uses of the green leafy parts of cannabis in post #140. It's becoming clear that reading comprehension is beyond you but I'll post a little of the text from it anyway.

When certain fruits and vegetables are heated, they lose a majority of their beneficial enzymes and nutrients. Cannabis is no different. Aside from the fact that cannabis is technically a vegetable with many of the same nutrients as other leafy greens (like fiber, iron and calcium), it is jam-packed with beneficial cannabinoids that are unique to the cannabis plant. As such, juiced cannabis is a nutritionally-dense, very potent medicine without the psychoactive components one would normally experience when heating the plant.

The high concentration of raw cannabinoid acids in juiced cannabis coupled with the perfect balance of fatty acids could help improve cell function and reduce damage caused by free radicals. Additional benefits of raw, juiced cannabis include reduced inflammation and the facilitation of two-way cellular communication. Many cannabinoids also have anti-tumor properties which are readily available through the consumption of raw marijuana.

According to Dr. William Courtney, a dietary raw cannabis specialist and a strong believer in the plants healing powers, “you are actually walking away from 99% of the benefits cannabis provides when you cook or smoke cannabis.” However, in its raw form, the cannabis plant contains both THCA (Tetrahydrocannabinolic-acid) and CBDA (Cannabidiolic-acid), two cannabinoids known for their medicinal benefits;

Awesome! But you and I know the potheads will tell you to eff that chit and let ‘em smoke it instead. :)

So what? I know of know requirement made upon me to accept anyone’s dogma. Right, left or from any other quarter. I’m fully capable of assimilating information from any source and analyzing it with my own intellect, free from any pressure, and do so with very little bias.

So if Jesus tells you to repent your idol worship of pot, will you?

BTW, that was another complete non-sequitur response to what I said in post #146. Deflection is a sure sign that you can’t respond to the substance of the subject.

Welcome to a thread that is ostensibly about Jesus and his part in Creation, not just the creation of pot.

There is so much more to His creation than pot.

Much more fulfilling and meaningful things.

Most importantly, freedom.

Most importantly, freedom.

Yes, I was discussing my view on that in post #146. The one you responded to with a passive aggressive non-sequitur deflection.

I don't know about 'ostensibly' but from the title of the thread "Jesus Created Marijuana, And It Should Be Legal" I would say it was quite specifically about Jesus creation of marijuana. You could ask the OP for clarification on that if you have any doubts.

Freedom does not result from pursuing and achieving a fleeting meaningless phony feeling.

Instead, pursuing such a thing is slavery to your feelings.

I don’t know of a single statement I’ve made here that even remotely suggests that it does.

Freedom was intended to allow for Americans to be stupid however they see fit, that is the whole point so many of the ultra conservatives commenting on this thread keep missing. How many of you think it is particularly smart to do 90% of stuff you can find on youtube now days? How about driving a Dragster 300 mph in an eight of a mile or flying with these new winged suits like somebody died doing within the past month or so. I knew we were in deep trouble years ago when our government started making laws to protect us from ourselves.

Problem is this particular subject goes far beyond that, with Big Pharma (and probably private prison) lobbying $$ making sure it has stayed illegal.

God also condemns drunkenness (intoxication) so that would apply to weed.

That is a good story. I’m taking CBD oil (with a very small amount of THC in it) nightly to keep the number of migraines down. It is one of several things I do to prevent migraines. Sleep is excellent.

I voted to legalize it in Colorado simply because it just gives the Government one more thing to hassel people over.

I had a problem making up my mind if it should be legal so the dam government could make millions of dollars revenue off of it which they do or keep it illegal so they couple not get their filthy hands on it.

I have heard lots of people say that it worked good for pain but nothing works the same on every one and i don`t like the smell of it at all.

The important distinction needs to be made between “Federal citizens” and “State citizens”.

There is no way the Federal Gov’t can enforce morality. Sooner or later, they will ALWAYS abuse it. Our FF knew this, and reserved those powers to the States.

For example, RICO, for which there is no constitutional authority whatsoever. To the contrary, it is SPECIFICALLY prohibited.

The reason we have these horrendously abusive federal laws is because our citizens have failed to support and defend the Constitution and specifically failed to heed the warnings of James Madison:

“If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress.... Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America.”

When the States MAKE THEIR OWN drug laws, the people are FREE to choose the state which is the best match for them, while respecting our Constitution at the same time.
