Operation Mockingbird
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mockingbird

Operation Mockingbird was a secret campaign by the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to influence media. Begun in the 1950s, it was initially organized by Cord Meyer and Allen W. Dulles, and was later led by Frank Wisner after Dulles became the head of the CIA. The organization recruited leading American journalists into a propaganda network to help present the CIA’s views. It funded some student and cultural organizations and magazines as fronts. As it developed, it also worked to influence foreign media and political campaigns, in addition to activities by other operating units of the CIA.

The Mockingbird never died.

Like most clandestine programs that are “banned”—the name gets changed and the security level is increased but the program marches on...

btw..how do you uncompromise a “compromised” journalist—think about it.

I thought they already could do this and well beyond it.
I presumed that they were doing it (while wired up) in instances of entrapment.

They should be good at this, they have been successfully masquerading as law-enforcement for years and they pulled that off...

What is the big deal? Liberals have been impersonating journalists for decades.

The media willingly supports the New World Order and status quo leadership currently in D.C..I don’t know why the FBI would need to imitate them.

Allowing agents to infiltrate media organizations for any reason threatens to utterly undermine public trust, kill the very concept of journalistic integrity...

1. Trust? What trust?
2. Integrity? What integrity?

Well, SOMEBODY should impersonate the media, because the MEDIA sure can’t impersonate the media.

Journalists know (if it bleeds, it leads) that they are negative. Knowing that, journalists still claim to be objective.

News Flash!

Anyone who thinks that "negativity is objective" is a cynic.
And so - “You didn’t build that” - are “liberals.” To a man.

The “all journalists are objective” fiction is a necessary corollary to the fact that the editor of your newspaper doesn’t even know the journalist who wrote the AP feed story he is printing.

As a business proposition he has to take that position . . . but he has no moral or intellectual grounds on which to base it. It is a prejudice - a vagrant opinion with no visible means of support.

Stuff like this could cast doubt on the objective reporting of New York Times heroes like Walter Duranty!

I don’t see how this isn’t entrapment.
