The materially wealthy man had a choice too, but blew it. Had he been willing to accept the Lord, he would have found something worth more than money to share with his people. Helping physical beggars would have been the least of it. King Solomon is an example of that kind of wealthy man. He didn’t live a perfect life, but it was still significantly helpful to his people.

The materially wealthy man was no different than his five brothers, and not unlike many today. The rich man and his brothers didn't believe God's word, and these days, even many in the Church, don't believe that God has preserved His word.And if they don't believe God can preserve His own word for all eternity, how can they believe that God can preserve their soul for all eternity.
