While campaigning in Texas this week, Cruz was caught by a reporter from the Dallas Morning News phone-banking for Trump. In the video taken by G.J. McCarthy, Cruz is sitting with his head slightly slouched in front of various Trump campaign signs.
Cruz was unable to reach many live representatives, but made sure to leave voicemails encouraging voters to make it to the polls on Election Day.

“Caught”?
I meant daughter.
Not close enough for the dividers. The hatred for Ted Cruz generated by the old media will likely cost Trump a million or more votes and help put the Clinton Crime Family back in total control.
So Cruz is ‘caught’ slouched under Trump signs but doesn’t mention Trump’s name?
Huh?
He already endorsed Trump.
Weird.
“Anyone, ANYONE who actually believes Cruz [could do something insane] is hereby judged to be certifiable insane ...”
I never thought a rabbit would swim up and bite Jimmy Carter, but one did.
LOL!
I’d walk into the bathroom, raise the phone, and flush the toilet.

Yeah but that was a rabid Rabbit. You don’t suppose.....
I wonder if he gives a lukewarm endorsement on the phone as well, or more likely, he asks for money for his senate campaign.
I personally have received about 5 calls from Cruz asking for money for his upcoming senate campaign.
I respond “when Senator Cruz puts the country ahead his wants and needs I will support him” Unless/until he FULLY supports the nominee (as he PROMISED to) he won’t get a dime.
at that point, they start whining about what Trump said about Cruz’s wife, and I say this is politics, and Cruz said things about others in the cycle as well. Does that mean nobody is bound by a solemn promise to support the nominee? Only follow promises when it’s convenient to you? Not the sort of president I want.
BTW, I have supported Cruz with lots of funds previously.
A lot of people who said the same thing will grudgingly vote for Trump because they realize what a disaster Hillary would be.
Don’t know what he said in the phone calls but here’s his statement that he will vote for Trump
After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have
decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, Mr. Cruz

Caught? An interesting choice of words.
‘I wonder if he gives a lukewarm endorsement on the phone as well, or more likely, he asks for money for his senate campaign.’
So surrounded by Trump signs at a Trump phone bank, somemone mutters in the phone ...
“What was that?”
“Sorry, but there’s someone over my shoulder right now.”
“Are you Ted Cruz?”
A lot of people here seem like they’d rather see Trump lose than Cruz not be vilified.
This is a County Republican Party get out the vote effort. Not a Trump group per se,
notice the other signs on the wall behind Cruz.
snip
Sen. Ted Cruz stopped by Tarrant Cty GOP headquarters to work the phones for a bit and
meet constituents.
Cruz, who is not up for reelection until 2018, is throwing his support behind six GOP
senators, including incumbents facing reelection.
Im encouraging conservatives to come out and vote and vote for Republicans up and
down the ticket, he said. Turnout matters. If turnout falls by a certain percentage
among conservatives, that could wreak real damage.
Good for him! Thank you Ted.
So hurt feelings trumps not handing the government over to Killiary. Got it.
Boy you’re a class act. Insulting FReepers who liked a different guy than you.
It’s been my experience in life that one who calls others losers is usually QUITE THE LOSER himself.
