once upon a time in a land far far away, one couldn’t hit a dead goat without seeing a ‘jedi’ strapped with a 19 (characteristically worn and sporting skateboard tape.
Good guns for the good guys!

Ditto...can be morphed into any form/caliber you need based on mission. The ultimate Transformers HG.
I like my 17 because it is reliable and fits well in my large hands.
Mrs Conan has a 26 that is just too small for me, though she is a pretty good shot with it all the same.
Dont see a problem with his stmt. The 1911 is far less reliable than modern tupperware guns....and its less flexible, needs more maintenance and WAY more expensive to make.
I have the P250C which is the DAO version and predecessor on which the P320 is based upon. I have three conversion kits 40 S&W, .357 Sig and .45 ACP. Just break down and switch your trigger module. Converts in a minute.
Yes, very accessorizable! Since frames are plastic they can be hacked to create configurations other than factory.
I have one just like that, except mine is in a little bit better condition. Mine was made by Remington-Rand.
They have lots of great add-ons too. I am thinking of getting a FDE P320C in .357 Sig.
I have a pair of them I bought about 20 years ago. Fits my hand, good capacity and points well. My very first 9mms.
This is my rifle. My gun is in my pocket. :)
Ya, well...Im fortunate enough to live very close to the Sig Pro Shop...so I get all my Sig gear there. :) If theyre out for some reason its just a short ride to the factory. :)
Lucky you!! :-)
Just as long as it shoots the fanatic stopping .45 ACP.
You are correct cost throws out the 1911. May I recomend the Springfield XD in .45, it is an excellent shooter.

Signed in just to post a reply on this.... Bought a brand new Springfield armory 1911 and shot it straight out of the box last year. All in a silver dollar at 50 ft. Similar results further out. Any variance was me as a shooter. Anything beyond that is unnecessary fiddling.
The Sig P320 subcompact is on my wishlist.
2 XD Compact models in .45 and and XDS in same for EDC.
Great guns and damn near indestructible. They eat everything I’ve ever fed them including some fairly exotic 78 (?) grain copper solid hollow points. Those bad boys move out at 1900 fps.
I just can’t get used to the grip angle on the Glock. The XD line fits me and the Mrs much better.
And I too wish they were made here. But that didn’t stop us from buying them. LOL.
Good luck to you and yours.

Nothing wrong with any of them.
But it will all come down to reliability and per unit cost in the end. I think they will probably require something with an actual/visible safety lever too.
