This foster mother is obviously a racist. And maybe even an ageist. She is projecting her hateful age-categorizing views on the poor 12-year-old refugee Jamal.
But she still has time to make amends! Just buy him a powerful rifle. Or maybe some potassium nitrate.

Since I don't believe a word of this story, I can't figure out what "game" might have been played here, if any.

They did the same thing here, coming from central America, claiming to be minors, men in their twenties even attending schools. HHS didn’t want to be rude by questioning their age but sure didn’t mind putting our own kids around possibly dangerous men.

A con is to FOOL people. Who knows WHY people do things.
I also don't believe that we are getting the entire story. To me it was a story to rile people up. I don't know why people want to that either.

I am reposting this because I think it need to be posted . it is common for this to happen with refugee populations.
in the 70s my parents were foster parents for a unaccompanied minor who was a refugee from Vietnam. the church I belonged to sponsored many refugees. we began to suspect 3 months into him coming into our home something was up it turns out he was in his early twenties. it is common for refugees to lie about age in hopes of gaming the system. of the four children who came in as unaccompanied minors that were taken care of by members of our church only one actually was a kid. the other three had lied to the in officials to get into the united states.an to
Often there is a host family and as soon as they are assigned and arrive there they “escape” and go to whatever destination they have plans to go to...and most have plans as their families are paying for them to arrive ‘as a refugee’ so that later they too can come in, not to mention those who are faking who their parents are in order to get family members in.
