Why I believe Trump can be a very good, and possibly great, president
Canada Free Press ^ | 11/04/16 | Herman Cain

No need for nose-holding

I realize a lot of conservatives are wringing their hands about voting for Donald Trump. Some are doing so reluctantly to stop Hillary. Some remain in the #NeverTrump camp and are either voting third-party, writing someone in as a protest or not voting at all.

I have been consistent since the primary season, when I named Trump as one of my Pick Six, in saying that I believed Trump was among the best Republican candidates of this season. This was long before electing Trump was the only way to stop Hillary, and I didn’t have to include him at the time. I did so because I know a lot about his thinking and about how he operates – things many people sadly don’t know because of the inevitable nonsense that has characterized media coverage of this campaign.

Even if he is a ho hum Presidnet he will not be the absolute corruptin incopement disasdter that would be a Hillary Clinton Presidency.

Republics start to die when the Political Elite can get away with ignoring the rule of law. The is no such thing as “just a little lawlessness” in political leadership. Hillary Clinton of wide spread corruption and lawlessness makes her absolutely unfit to hold any office in a Constitutional Republic.

Voters have one final chance to hold the Clinton Crime machine accountable on Nov 8th 2016. That day YOU are the law.

All well and good, but “O” is not exactly what you’d call a ‘tough act to follow’!! The guy who empties the waste basket here, could be a great President next to “O”.

Anyway, I agree. :)

Trump is a crapshoot.

He might be a truly great president.
He might be an ok or so-so president.
He might be a terrible president.

Only way to know is to elect him.

But, one thing for sure: Hildebeast would be a catastrophic president. The final nail in the coffin of this once great nation.

Do I expect Trump to be a great president? No. What I do expect is that he will at least make an attempt to shrink the size of government, reign in out of control social spending, create an atmosphere where business is not hampered but thrives, and to take security of our southern border seriously.

I also expect Trump to appoint federal judges not only at the Supreme Court level but throughout the federal judicial system that will at least slow if not reverse the trend of legislating from the bench.

That would be enough for me.

Donald Trump is the first GOP nominee in an entire generation who I am completely enthused about.

His positions on issues are without equal.

He is patriotic. He cares about our country, and our people, and he is extremely energetic.

He has a wonderful family, and he will be an absolutely excellent American president.

For real.

I have supported him since before he even announced his candidacy. I am very enthused.

I believe he will be excellent.

First, The Donald has to get elected, then fight off all the challenges that WILL be raised.

We just have to win by such a margin that challenges will be futile.

Getting The Donald elected may just be the greatest legacy that the Current Occupant will leave to the world. Just like Jimmy Carter gave us Ronald Reagan.

Amen, hopefully with a large enough mandate to neuter the opposition from both parties. I don’t doubt the never-trumpers will try to thwart him at every step. A large enough mandate will help quell that lest they be primaried in the next election.

Herman would have been a great President, possibly better than Reagan.

I trust Herman’s judgment and agree with him.

Good times are ahead after these dark days.

Make America Great Again!

No nose holding for me for the first time since 1984.
I’m looking forward to voting without having to do shots first and shower after.

What inspires Donald J. Trump? Wealth? Celebrity? Power? Beautiful women? Certainly all of these motivated him in the past. But having achieved these goals, just what persuades a seventy year old to take on the rigors of the Presidency? The big clue is within his goal to “Make America great again.” The man who makes America great again can count on the eternal gratitude of history. This is fame.

Donald Trump's Quest for Fame.

The reason he’ll be great is that he’s actually run something other than his mouth!

Actually, he would be a tough act to follow - cleaning up all his messes is going to be a HUGE task. Or, should I say: YUGE.

Enough if Trump is as ethically challenged as Billary due to the scrutiny of the press, the establishment, Democrats in the government, Rhino’s ect. he will have to live the life of a monk and within the law if he is to have any hope of avoiding impeachment.

This is a fantastic argument to use with people who say they don’t like either one of them yet I haven’t heard anyone say it but me.

A good president in my book will reduce the size of government, secure our borders, ensure religious liberty, and stop unvetted Islamic immigration. I have no illusions about him being great. I’ll settle for the above.
