I like that mount and the quick release.

Sweet. Now, if you could get it down to pistol size...

Picking up pistol brass is the bain of my shooting life. I don’t shoot my semi auto pistols much because of that because it drives me crazy to not end up with 50 empties at the end of the session. Yeah, I know - anal.

nice... 90% of my rifle target shooting is from a second story barn window, we have a sheet hung to the side that funnels all the brass down into a five gallon bucket

You can just jimmy rig a bag to the side. Like you need an expensive catch.

A portable rig like that wouldn’t be too hard to make using fiberglass poles like pop-up tents have. Might cause some problems on a windy day though when it sails into the shooters next to you.

good idea, ya could use mesh so the wind could pass through and a weight at the bottom to help keep it in the bucket

It would probably need one or two poles in back as braces anyway and those could have loops at the bottom for tent stakes. Or weights clipped to those loops for concrete shooting platforms.
We’ve almost got a product here!

I just threw out a 10’x10’ canopy in my garbage pile. I wanted something for the rain and figured the “sun shade” I bought was the same as the others I have bought (and destroyed by the wind).
I open it up - it was a heavy mesh at the top to let the air flow, but still provided some shade. But it still left a lot of sun through. It was worthless. Or so I had thought!

Darn! I hate when I do that! lol
Was the mesh tight enough to catch a small case like 9mm?

brass catcher I've seen several variations on homemade ones (made one for myself) and there are commercial models available.

That’s nice and the price isn’t bad. I was thinking a mesh that tight wouldn’t let air pass through easily. Guess I’m overthinking that. That would catch .22 rimfire which covers the gamut.
