This question just wont seem to go away. Hillary supporters are still crying, marching, vandalizing, and recounting about it.
So I'll examine 5 reasons why I think Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election.
5. Bill Clinton It was Hillarys husband who had signed into law the NAFTA trade agreement that had cost so many their jobs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The perfect revenge would be to vote against this Clinton, Bills wife. No way were they going to vote to give her a job when, with the stroke of a pen, her husband signed their jobs away to foreign countries. So when Trump proposed renegotiating NAFTA, he opened the door wide to people who were primed to be against Hillary anyway.
4. Her Policies She supported TPP, then she didnt. Wikileaks revealed her support of open borders. She wanted to raise the corporate tax when its already the highest corporate/business tax rate in the world. She wanted to continue Obamacare when people were furious that their rates had climbed astronomically after they were promised they would go down. She wanted to allow even more Islamic refugees than Obama had allowed and this was not a popular position with the attacks that had been waged on America by those refugees and on other countries where they were allowed in with very little examination (or vetting as its being called).
3. Her Alienating of Bernie Sanders Supporters She insulted Bernies supporters in addition to Bernie himself. Wikileaks showed that Hillary and the Democratic National Convention rigged the nomination so that Bernie couldnt win no matter what. Wikileaks released Hillarys insulting comments about Bernie Sanders supporters, saying that they were living in their parents basement. A lot of those supporters, came around, to the idea of voting for Hillary, mostly because Trump was repealing to them, but a certain percentage of those who supported Sanders never forgave her.
2. Long History of Corruption Whitewater, Benghazi, server bleaching gate, FBI investigations, multiple illegal conflict of interest uses of The Clinton Foundation, carelessness with classified information, private speeches for Wall Street insiders where she refused to release the transcripts, lobbyist, paid by foreign countries to get certain bills passed, etc. Barack Obama explains in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6f4tZFZ_-g
1. An Outsider, Anti-Establish Candidate Named Donald Trump Trump wasnt a political elite and as others have pointed out, that was probably his greatest strength as a candidate. Even Bernie Sanders said:
How does it happen that they win elections and Democrats lose? I think what the conclusion is, is that that is raising incredible sums of money from wealthy people but has ignored to a very significant degree, working class, middle class, and low income people in this country.
Trump spoke to the working class and, in the words of Michael Moore, was a human hand grenade, to be thrown into the establishment. Therefore, people who were disenchanted and even furious with the establishment of both parties had an outlet in Donald Trump. They didnt have to agree with him on everything, they simply wanted an outsider. Hillary was the polar opposite of an outsider. She was so inside that the insiders were outsiders compared to her. So Donald Trump was able to bring in a demographic of voters who werent even being polled because they hadnt voted in so long due to being completely antagonistic to the establishment. Hillary couldnt win by simply bringing in democrat voters who would vote for anyone with a D beside their name. And she didnt.
The ex-wife thing was part of it. The hypocrite factor was
also part of it. NO MORE CLINTONS was a big part of it.
Some on here like to pontificate that “Bill” could have been
elected AGAIN if he could have run. No. He could not have
been. The rapist albatross was hanging around his neck and
he was wearing real thin. I think this repudiation of
Hillary has soundly proven that “Bill” would not have been
re-elected no matter what.
The thing of Hillary sitting behind the same desk where
Bill got his blow-jobs and either Bill or Huma serving as
hostess of the White House was nauseating to many of us.
Here silly road trip to Iowa last year should have been an omen of things to come. The fact that she was chauffeured out there instead of flying was a big red flag to anyone who recognized the potential medical implications. Every stop that was reported in the media came off as either scripted and fake, and on every stop that wasn’t part of a scripted media event she seemed to have no interest in even being there.
She’s past it and has been for a very long time. EVERYTHING she could possibly do wrong, SHE DID1
THEN still went around acting like she was ENTITLED to the office!!
Another big reason Clinton lost was that she was a lazy candidate who thought that all she had to do is show up, and she would be elected. She held a minimal amount of rallies, and even avoided her fawning lapdog media.
Hers was a LOW ENERGY campaign if there ever was one. She depended on massive amounts of negative ads, and when there was person to person contact to be made, she depended on Bill, Sanders, Warren, Biden, the 0bamas and even Gore. Her celebrity tour in the last week of the campaign made her look extremely weak.
On the other hand, Trump campaigned non-stop, never more than a day or two without a rally, and on those days he had other kinds of public events. He campaigned like he wanted to win, whereas her events were so tightly scripted and short that she gave everyone the impression that she really didn’t want to be there.
6) She tried to rerun the Obama campaign despite being the whitest woman currently walking the planet.
“no nothing”
know nothing
And she said something like, “I ain’t noways tired.” And she said it in a way she thought black people spoke...which should be seen as condescending.
CAUTION: prolonged viewing causes violent retching.
"I flacked her on AF One and she lost four points.
This frickin' faked pose oughta be good for a point."
He shookdown foreign countries for billions...making deals that compromised our safety and security....but campaigned as a hokey hillbilly.
5 reasons out of 500 reasons.
Is any other reason than #2 necessary???
And in the general she faced a political neophyte who did everything wrong and should have lost by 30 points and still couldn't win. Because nobody likes her.
She didn’t dress sexy enough.
If she had just shown more leg and cleavage she coulda won this thing.
She also nominated a demented creepy clown as her VP.
When her health became visibly shaky a lot of voters
fled in horror.
Bingo.
Dittoes on Anthony Weiner. Thank God for this pervy POS.
Because the FBI started investigating him sexting a minor which lead to discovering Hillary emails on his personal device which lead to Comey reopening the investigation again Hillary, I saw that as the one key final straw that lead to Hellary’s defeat.
C'mon, Bob- be fair. He did not excerpt it, so we can choose to go to the blog or not, without having to do so to get the rest of the story.
6. Voters are getting damned tired of legacy candidates with a sense of entitlement to the Presidency or any other high office. Hillary lost the Presidency for the same reason that Jeb lost the GOP primaries: she strutted around with the expectation that the Presidency would just be handed to her by default, rather than doing anything to earn it.
Another suggested #6: Her voice.
I can’t think of another woman alive who has such a nasty, grating, shrieking, ear-shattering voice. It’s a million times worse than a billion fingernails screeching down a chalkboard. (”Just stop, stop talking, stop NOW!”)
Exactly what I've been telling all my "alt-left" friends. Hitlery is the perfect embodiment of the Millennial class of people. She EXPECTED to get the nomination and EXPECTED to be elected. Why bother putting yourself out there when she KNEW she was pre-ordained to win.
