Trump vows to fight Freedom Caucus just as he fights the Democrats
Canada Free Press ^ | 03/30/17 | Dan Calabrese

Defeat from the jaws of victory

You know what their response is going to be, of course. They’re going to complain that the White House and the leadership are putting forth terrible bills that don’t really repeal ObamaCare but institutionalize government-run health care for generations. I’ve already told you why I don’t agree with them, and Rob’s already told you why he does.

So let’s skip all that and see what Trump himself has to say about the matter:

TOPICS: Government; Health/Medicine; Politics; Society

I’m all for the Freedom caucus conservative agenda. But that shouldn’t mean keeping Obamacare because they want a result which will never pass and they are probably going to put Democrats back in power.

Yeah I have to say that for all the distrust of trump, he has amassed an incredible conservative record in just a couple of months.

Actually, picking off Cantor DID make all the difference. The timing could not have been better.

Now Congress is back to business as usual, and Trump is making hay on the executive side.

Trumps been in office barely two months and you are jumping ship? Is it any wonder we can’t get anything done.

They differ from Trump on one issue, while ignoring all of he junk from the Obama years he has dismantled and + a SCOTUS pick that many of them swore he would never make.

That’s all of an excuse the “snowflake right” needs.

Trump vows to fight Freedom Caucus just as he fights the Democrats
_________________________________________________

For every action, there is a reaction. Big mistake on his part, IMO.

The democrats have no problem being strong-armed by their leaders, the true conservatives have a mind and will of their own. Trying to strong arm them will backfire on him.

He’s doing to himself what the entire democratic party and the Never Trumpers were unable to do. This is hard to watch unfold.....

You said.....
...”Then there’s Hillary...the lady with 2 L’s on her forehead....and a Health Care Plan that didn’t even get to first base”...

Seems to me Ryancare ‘IS’ Hillarycare. No matter how they reconstruct this beast it will never meet the mark of what we asked for..”Repeal the beast entire”....just do it!

Not a single thing addresses bringing down health care costs...nor opening borders for the purchase of Insurance.....and a three step program to do that is not going to work.

Rush just explained the freedom Caucus position saying they were concerned that everything Price pulled out of Obamacare would be put back in by a Democrat should they win in 2020.

If that is really their reasoning it is embarrassing that they would believe that.

If a Democrat was to be elected in 2020 it would mean things had changed so much that the new Democrat could ride a horse through the streets of Washington naked and get away with it. Nothing or the sort will happen.

If a Democrat was to be elected in 2020 that would mean that Trump had been a total failure also wrong. NOTHING but the Freedom Caucus engineered failure to repeal the bill and a loony judge’s belch about the travel ban have been setbacks. Trump will be a great president and will be in no danger in 2020.

If the Freedom Caucus really believes Price would be ineffective they also believe no Republican is interested in living up to their promise. If that is their thinking than why not vote yes to get the few good things the bill had to offer and vow to stay on Price and pass his changes into law as a series of separate bills?

There are just too many mental gymnastics in this explanation so I will wait for the next version of why they failed to support the repeal.

I reluctantly forward this Pastor Chuck Baldwin rant and fully expect to catch unholy hell from fellow Trump supporters (of which I am still one). You will find it at the link at the very bottom.

There are a number of Chuck’s comments with which I take issue — SERIOUS issue (one being Israel v. Zionism) — BUT much of what he writes squares with points I attempted to make in the 7 minute video I produced over 7 years ago here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkyEtw8lBtI

And, of course, there is the MAJOR ISSUE that the dissembling, divisive criminal Hillary Clinton would have been much, much worse.

As is true of ALL elections, 2016 was a choice between two flawed human beings by equally flawed human voters who had grown weary and angry about the country’s slide into the abyss. Trump, who was not just another Beltway insider and had no track record, won the day.
It MAY be too early to know just where Mr. Trump is taking us, but I BEG you to read this piece with an open mind so that you can be alert to further signs that Baldwin MAY be right.

And, of course, there’s the distinct possibility that the world has become so screwed up by the Deep State apparatchiks, intelligence “spooks” and Globalists that NOTHING can be done to right our course. As I reread that, a small tear came forth for my children, grand children and great grand children. Consider cremation as they might dig many of us just to spit in our faces for the mess we left behind!

And before I sign off, here’s something ALL thoughtful Americans should consider. We need MORE folks like Rand and his father up there if there is to be ANY hope that the denizens of Capitol Hill again recognize WHY the Founders put the legislative branch in ARTICLE ONE of the Constitution.

To avoid reelection  “problems”, most of the current crop (or is that crap) of Reps. And Senators, have simply abdicated their mandate to exercise control over the government (causing their possibly pissed off constituents to throw them out of the cushiest job they’ve ever had) by shipping damn near all their enumerated powers to 1600 and so they can shrug their shoulders, point fingers when the SHTF and blame 1600 for the mess. THAT, my friends, is a recipe for a DICTATORSHIP, precisely what the Founders sought to avoid. It’s WHY the executive is in ARTICLE TWO!

Now, it’s off to my underground bunker to brace for what I anticipate will be a firestorm of incoming! (Some of it, sadly, from otherwise good folks who declare they detest the current PC goal of shutting down dissenting viewpoints.)

If Trump keeps this working with the GOPe crap up, he is a certain one termer. The coalition that elected him is already starting to turn away from him, hence his below 40% approval ratings.

He better fight for the things he promised. RyanCare (or 0bamaCare Lite) and working with Democrats on taxes is NOT what he promised.

I like that term “snowflake right”. They are absolutists and end up being obstructionists.

They say FC has a straight repeal bill, a repeat of the failed 2015 bill. Why didn’t they have it on Trump’s desk on day 1?? Because it’s a farce, that’s why.

I trust Trump, not the FC.

So, imposing socialism on this country, “taking the high road?” We had eight years of appeasing Obama and attacking conservatives. Now, you are saying we need four more years of that?

...”I voted for Trump and I’m peeved at the freedom caucus for what they did. I support Trump”...

They all appear to be more interested in throwing their weight around then doing what we asked that Trump said he would do...

Repeal it...period.... Start over by opening the borders for Insurance purchase and work at lowering health care costs..which is at the heart of the matter!

Most of all get out of each others way and get to work!!!

I would say 80% of his campaign crowds would stand with what the Freedom Caucus wanted.

Now if what the Parliamentarian supposedly said is true about being able to do much more, then Freedom is 100% right and vindicated.

If that was rumor and not true, then Trump should go to a mike and declare that as a rumor.

As it stands, it looks like Freedom is on the side of good and Trump\Republicans are standing with the swamp.

So, what you are saying is: We need four more years of what we had the last eight years? Anyone even slightly to the right of center is evil, and we have to do whatever the left demands?
