Trump vows to fight Freedom Caucus just as he fights the Democrats

Defeat from the jaws of victory

You know what their response is going to be, of course. They’re going to complain that the White House and the leadership are putting forth terrible bills that don’t really repeal ObamaCare but institutionalize government-run health care for generations. I’ve already told you why I don’t agree with them, and Rob’s already told you why he does.

So let’s skip all that and see what Trump himself has to say about the matter:

Who Sanford and Amash voted for is their own business.

No it is not. They are professional politicians who want to torpedo President Trump's agenda. NeverTrumpers want President Trump to fail while they keep their donors. The pay would be better were Hillary Clinton president; then they could really fundraise. They may have voted Clinton in any case like the Bush family.

The dems created this large turd and rolled it right into our faces and they’re delighted it is fracturing our party. Let’s not let this happen!

The legislation he introduced is a short-n-sweet repeal of Obamacare.

There is no way that will pass even without the filibuster, and he fully knows that. If the house believes it has a chance in the senate (which it does not), there is no way it passes. The rinos would be screaming about 26 year old children, woman and young children being kicked off there health plans. Only to be out done by the dems and msm. If you believe it would pass the senate and that mccainiac, linda, collins, mercowski and others would vote for it? Well, good luck.

There were more members of the Tuesday Group of liberal Republicans opposed than there were Freedom Caucus members.

Ryancare wouldn’t even pass in the Senate.

You Ryancare loving creeps are in the minority here. JimRob isn’t drinking your Kool-Aid either!

Amazing you creeps blame 30 FC members for this fiasco, while providing cover for the 160 moderates who were also against it. You are full of sh*t!

So it's okay for Ryan and the RINO's to force a bill that 87% of We the People are against, and somehow the Freedom Caucus is in the wrong for advocating a bill that 87% of We the People support? How does that make any kind of sense? The Freedom Caucus doesn't need to compromise; the RINOs do!

I remember being mocked by Freepers when I had the nerve to suggest that The Donald’s new found conservative beliefs wouldn’t last much past election day.

You Ryancare loving creeps

Your wrong, and after reading a few of your posts this morning, I'm not surprised. I did not like the ryancare, but it was a step in the right direction. As for as your invoking JR as the end all argument. I don't always agree with JR, now go run around like your hair is on fire screaming Joe dissed JR, it won't be the first time.

You seriously believe there would’ve been phases 2 and 3? Like I said, you’re full of sh*t, and you have a minority view here.

You are wrong "there is no way" for it to pass. Even (click) Paul Ryan in his own words has promised We the People that a simple majority in the Senate can repeal ObamaCare. The House has passed such a bill already six times. And, *now* that we've given them a majority in the Senate and a Republican President, now they suddenly refuse to vote on a simple repeal??? That's horse-pucky and most of us are not stupid enough buy what that RINO is selling today. Bring the Brooks bill to the floor and prove me wrong, I double-dog dare them. The seventh time, with a majority in the Senate and a Republican POTUS, is the charm and we all know it. (If the Congress-critters felt differently, they'd be pleased to watch a simple repeal fail again and allow it to the floor.) It's only because it would succeed that they refuse to do it.

All sh*t aside, it would have been an issue repubs could run on. Instead of handing single payer to the dems to run on. And I'm okay with my minority view, you'll just have to do better if you're trying to insult me.

How is expanding and worsening ACA repelling it? The new plan did things Obama only wished he could.

You say "Paul Ryan in his own words has promised (to repeal)" after I said "There is no way a clean repeal will pass the house and senate". No offence, but I am confident I am not the one who is wrong here.

If Obama. 7 years ago would have put forward the Ryan bill, not a single republican would have voted for it. They would be campaigning using it against them..

but the Freedom Caucus engineered failure to repeal the bill

Wait, there was NEVER any effort to repeal ACA. Last week, Ryan proposed a bill that would EXPAND aCA and give teeth to the individual mandate, something the original bill only bluffed. Where is this repeal you dreamed up?

The point is they need to work together, find common ground and start the process of revamping healthcare to a private model except for saftey net not how many were for or against this act.

That’s why Trump says lets work with anyone who will work with us. Doesn’t mean he’s going to go with anything one iota more entitlement & big government than he has to. Nor does it mean Price won’t tinker to soften anything that creeps in that isn’t in line with Trump’s promises to America.

We have a lot of sky is falling, pearl clutching so little steps may be the only way anything gets done. The public is frightened and distrustful because they have been lied to for so long.

I look more at trajectory and what can be maneuvered to get us where we want to go. If we are moving away from Government controlled HC we are moving in the right direction!

If the simple repeal succeeds no one will be happier than I and let the chips fall where they may!
If it doesn’t we are going to have to skin the cat another way.
