Border rancher: Illegal crossings down 90% since Trump became president

Arizona ranchers John Ladd and Fred Davis invited House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to see the southern border from their property, but she never responded.

But they responded this morning to Pelosi’s recent claim that the border wall is “immoral, expensive, unwise.”

Appearing on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Ladd said border crossings by illegal aliens have decreased 90% to 95% since Donald Trump took office.

Perhaps more shockingly, Ladd has determined through Border Patrol data that some 500,000 illegal aliens have crossed his property in the 30 years he’s owned it.

The border wall is still 100% required to be built...only the reason now is because if the democrats ever gain cnotrol of the White House or Congress we will need the wall because they will never enforce the law due to their hatred of our sovereignty and for the fact they need votes.

Yeah, until they figure, “Well they ain’t gonna actually build the wall so we may as well start crossing again.” You know, false promises like the previous admin? See where that got us.

Absolutely correct. These statistics show that what's really required is simply the will to enforce existing law, something that's been lacking for 30+ years. The physical wall is needed mainly to address that latter problem once Trump leaves office. It will be part of his enduring legacy.

This is not rocket science.

Over sixty years ago, Eisenhower proved that if you actively enforce immigration laws, illegal aliens will stop coming and most of those that are already here will voluntarily leave instead of waiting to be caught and deported.

I'll take 90%...for now.

First rule of triage is to stop the massive hemorrhaging. Check.

Second rule of triage is to assess the patient for other life-threatening symptoms. Deportations of the worst bunch are happening. I assume that self-deportations are also happening. We'll call this one "in progress".

Third rule is to permanently fix the problem. Trump hasn't managed to build a 2000-mile wall in under 100 days.....But, I'm willing to give him more time. :-)
