As said here on many instances, no reputable news editor (back in the day) would ever allow a story to be published that contained quotes from people who would not go on-the-record, in fact to even present such a piece would be tantamount to issuing a resignation letter. Again, this was to protect the credibility of that publication, both with the public and financially. That was then.

During the campaign Trump would have his people leak disinformstion and that hasn’t stopped.
I think Rush has it right. The media runs the agenda for the Democrat Party, or should we call it the Mediacrat Party. If you watch the cable shows enough you’ll notice their extreme zeal and enthusiasm for reporting all of this fake crap. The Dems are just along for the ride. I guess the reality is the Democrats were always the water carriers for the media and not vice versa.

These unscrupulous so-called journalist must have a handbook with terms they use for unsubstantiated stories (e.g., highly placed sources, senior officials, former administration officials, well placed insider, etc.).
I know the MSM hates Trump but using annonymus sources to write stories to bring down a President is almost unbelievable. They could invent any story they wanted and claim an annonymus source. Can nothing be done?

The sources aren’t made up, but the stories the sources tell are mostly the most negatively possible spin and propaganda to defend the prior administration and smear the current one. If only someone from the prior administration would fess up to using the media as a propaganda arm...

I think having Trump’s words spoken in private in front of his trusted staff appear in headlines within twelve hours is an intimidation technique, meant to covey to Trump that he has no shelter and no friends.
My greatest fear is that it’s Kushner, not because he’s all that but because using a man’s family against him can break his spirit.
