POLL: Do you believe the sexual misconduct allegations against Senate nominee Roy Moore?
Yes
No
I'm not sure
Unfortunately I think its just the opposite. I think the problem is society does not want to openly accept the truth and that is that as soon as a girl hits puberty they are biologically an adult and this usually occurs even earlier than sixteen years. Men at the same time are hard wired to seek young fertile females for procreation. Many people cant accept this obvious truth. It is only the rapid advancement of mankind that gives the illusion that a sixteen year old is a child. Until we accept this simple scientific fact the solution to this delema will remain illusive.
A 30yr old man looking for wife material in the deep south 40+ years ago was faced with a demographic problem.
Women his age were all either married, divorced with kids, ‘career women’ or ahem, not interested in men. Or just plain homely.
Any women over 22 or 23 was likely in one of those categories.
If you wanted a women with little ‘experience’ (ahem) you dated teens who hadn’t gone to college yet.
So if you were looking for wife material you wanted someone who wasn’t a career woman, had serviced most of the fraternities at her college, or batting for the other team.
I suspect somebody’s emoting because of a teen daughter at the moment. Just because she isn’t ready and her parents find the prospect revolting doesn’t make it illegal, immoral or “creepy.” That’s what they’re trying brand Moore with and it’ll probably work to an extent with women.
You're right, unless I wanted to commit voter fraud because I don't live in Alabama so .............
40 years ago was a totally different landscape. Particularly the rural south.
He was considering politics and wanted a wife withOUT a past that could be used against him in a political race.
Having said that I wouldn’t ‘let’ a 16yr old daughter of mine date a 30something. But 40 years ago it wasn’t creepy either. Women still wanted to just get married and be a wife and mother. Not so much now. More’s the pity.
First, thank you for being the first person to actually try and explain the problem. I appreciate that.
Second, I'm curious to know what caused the demographic problem you're describing, in the south 40+ years ago. Was this unique to the south? (A sincere question ... not looking to bait you or argue. Just really trying to understand.)
I don’t see it working with women. Most of us had the opportunity to date and even marry older men. It’s a choice. When you’re 16 or so, you’re usually more mature than the boys your own age, so older ones are more interesting. There does get to be an age gap when the older men have SUCH different interests that they’re just somewhat boring.
Follow the RAT money for the answer!!
Do you believe the sexual misconduct allegations against Senate nominee Roy Moore?
No (70%)
Yes (26%)
I’m not sure (4%)
No. Mainly because of the timing.
“16 years old is the legal age of consent in Alabama.”
It is now, but it was 14 until 2003.
It was a function of pre ‘career’ women feminism.
It was like that everywhere in the 1950’s and 60s.
It’s why the olden times ‘debutante ball’ consisted of 17 and 18yr olds who ‘came out’ to society in search of a husband.
His wife is 14 years his junior (he was 38 and she was 24 when they married). They have been married since 1985 (32 years) and they have four children. He has stood up for Christian values. That’s all I need to know about him.
“The other side plays dirty.”
And the “other side” includes most of those in elected positions in the Republican Party along with all the RATs!
I see that it's a problem to you. I admit that it's not something that I would encourage.
However, sixteen is the age of consent in 30 states, so clearly there are a lot of people who disagree with you. Eight states have seventeen, and 12 states have eighteen as the age of consent.

My mother, her mother, and my older sister were all married at 16. (I suspect that my great-grandmother and her mother did also. We have several photos in our family album featuring five generations.) Mother and grandmother grew up in Texas. Sister was born in Arkansas.
Rural families from southern states tended to have large families (viewing abortion as an abomination), viewed education as ending at high school, the boys took their share of the field work and the girls tended to the housework and taking care of the younger children.
Any daughter who found herself at sixteen tending to younger siblings, not intending to finish high school, had only marriage to look forward to. If an eligible male, even one much older, showed interest, the family would have viewed the situation quite positively.
Please describe your background so that we can more fully understand what you view as the proper situation. How old must women be to marry? How much education must they have. What sort of home life would you expect them to have that's any different from what I have described? And if you can, please explain how you determine "adulthood" for young women.
No.
.
Roy Moore and the people of Alabama win this one big!

“Remember what McConnell did to Chris McDaniel in Mississippi.”
Another thought! MIcDaniel should run against Roger Wicker next year. Let’s see if Bitch has enough money left to buy another election. With McDaniel and Moore, the “The South Will Have Risen Again!”
There is no evidence whatsoever that Moore dated, what to speak of molesting, any girls 14-16.
