The Media Just Keeps Faking The News And Donald Trump Loves It

These continue to be trying times for the NFL. While most teams continue to announce their games as “sell outs”, thanks mainly to corporate ticket-buying programs, games all over the NFL were played to sparse attendance on Sunday as actual fans choose to stay home in droves. This week’s Thursday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos and some other team that no one cares about received the worst Thursday game ratings in years. The player protests of the national anthem go on and on, though their coverage has been muted by the TV networks desperate to move on from the matter, but the damage has been done. The sub-moron team owners recently chose to extend the contract of Commissioner Roger Goodell, saddling the league with a raging nitwit-in-charge for another five-year term.

If you want another reason why many fans have abandoned a league they supported for many years, all you need do is look at what happened at the end of the game between the Steelers and Patriots on Sunday. After Tom Brady had led his team on one of his 50+ 4th quarter TD drives to apparently put the game away, the Steelers stormed right back down the field in 3 plays, scoring what appeared to be the winning TD on a pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger to TE Jesse James with 28 seconds left. This was a play that would have counted as a clear and unambiguous touchdown at any other level of football – college, high school, jr. high or Pop Warner – it was a TD anywhere else on earth as soon as the ball crossed over the plane of the goal line with the receiver in firm possession of it.

But, because the receiver lost control of the ball when he slammed to the ground in the end zone, the replay officials called the play an incomplete pass. Roethlisberger threw an interception on the next play, and the game had been literally given to the Patriots by the officials. This is the same horrible, idiotic rule that was invoked to hand an apparent Dallas Cowboys playoff win in 2014 to the Green Bay Packers instead. The fact that this lunatic rule is still on the NFL’s books three years later tells you all you need to know about the morons who run this league.

The fake editors and fake reporters at CNN will get this story wrong, too. – The UK Guardian reports that Pope Francis “has criticised journalists who dredge up old scandals and sensationalise the news, saying it’s a “very serious sin” that hurts all involved.” In response, fake reporters all over the fake news media here in the U.S. were assigned by their fake editors to look into the Pope’s background and see what, if any scandals they could dig up.

Speaking of faking the news, the national news media and the Democrat Party coordinated all weekend long to push a fake story about President Trump supposedly planning to fire Robert Mueller. Faced with having to make the GOP’s pending passage of the largest tax cut in American history the lead story of the weekend, the Democrats and fake news outlets did what they do anytime they’re faced with having to cover a positive story about the Trump Administration – they made a fake story up that they could focus on instead.

Late on Friday, the Democrats sent obscure California Congresswoman Jackie Speier out on TV to push out the claim that there was a “rumor” going around congress that the President planned to make a nationally televised speech right before Christmas announcing the firing of the Special Counsel. Once Speier had made that claim – a claim no one else in congress was making, a claim put out into the public space absent the slightest shred of evidence, a claim made despite the consistent, repeated denials from the White House every time the question has been asked since March – it became the lead story on every fake news broadcast, headline news in every fake news paper across the country, and the lead story on every one of the Sunday morning fake news programs.

Thus, for an entire weekend, when responsible, real journalists would have been working to inform their readers and viewers about what this new, gigantic reform of the U.S. tax system – the first such major reform in more than three decades – means to them, the fake news media focused instead on coordinating with the Democrat Party to promote a myth.

Granted, there are all sorts of great reasons why Robert Mueller deserves to be fired, including 1) his appointment by Rod Rosenstein was illegitimate to begin with, 2) Mueller’s massive personal conflicts of interest related to the case, 3) his stacking of his staff with an array of hyper-partisan hacks, and 4) his resorting to illegal means of obtaining the Trump Transition team’s email records, to name just a few.

Despite all those great reasons that would fully justify Mueller’s firing, there has never been the slightest indication that the President had any plans to do so. As he has been since Day 1 of his presidency, Donald Trump appears perfectly content to let the media fake up all the fake stories it wants to fake, while he and his administration just keep executing radical change for real Americans with little notice.

Winning. So, so, soooo much winning.

Just another weekend in So, So, Soooo Much Winning! America.

That is all.

The Democrats should welcome the firing of Mueller.

The longer the investigation goes on the more corrupt the Democrats (FBI, DOJ, and so on) appear to be.

Anything Mueller puts out is going to be tainted.

So why are they trying to prevent Mueller from being fired?

The Ds think it is to their political advantage to keep hysteria ginned up over the Mueller witch hunt. This is a tactic they’ve used against every GOP administration since Reagan - keep “investigations” going for the duration, regardless if there’s anything there or not.

Like they did with Comey, if Mueller starts issuing indictments against Hillary or any of Obama’s evil minions, they’ll turn on a dime and demonize him. It’s just what they do.

“The longer the investigation goes on the more corrupt the Democrats (FBI, DOJ, and so on) appear to be.”

But that doesn’t bother them at all. Only the thought that power might slip from their hands gives them pause.

I thought we agreed yesterday that you’d start posting the db daily update so that you could post it unexcerpted? It was an elegant, yet simple, solution to the problem.

C’mon humblegunner be part of the solution and not the problem.

Anybody ever listen to Bill Cunningham on radio?

He had a great show (or at least the beginning of it which I heard on the way home from work last night).

Suggesting, after listing how Muller, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok and cohorts came up with the idea of an ‘insurance policy’ should Hillary win, meaning a constant campaign to destroy Trump.

He suggested a Special Investigation should be put together on all of these Dems who are activists in this conspiracy.

I agree with him.

Why use up bandwidth posting the whole thing when it is available in full elsewhere?

You suggested it, I certainly did not agree.

Why would I wish to promote this arrogant puke
who thinks we are all so ignorant as to need him
to update us?

He clearly holds the whole Free Republic community in contempt.

I'll shun him but I shall never promote him.

This is all so predictable. If MULE(face)r reports no findings against Trump the rabid Liberal Democrats will say Team Trump bullied Him into it.

Then it is obvious that those making these decisions are clueless about how the world has changed.

The old playbook is no longer working.

President Trump is unlike any previous President.

He is not afraid to fight back.

Politicians (and the major media) are no longer the GATEKEEPER of what people see, read or think. There are now millions of “reporters” out there.

Politicians have used leaks to control the stories (and how Americans think about things).

We have not seen it much yet but wait until waiters and waitresses use their cell phone to make videos of politicians yukking it up when they think they are safe.

Wait until some janitorial staff finds stuff in the wastebasket and makes it public.

Wait until some underpaid security person releases private information.

We know many politicians act one way in public and one way in private but as they have invaded the privacy of average everyday Americans, their privacy will be invaded.

They may not know it, but their days are numbered.

humblegunner it’s becoming more obvious that you’re more into savoring a problem than solving it. I don’t know what else I can do.

But, I have an idea!

Tonight we’re having savory beef and mushrooms on egg noodles. Simple, yet soothing for troubled souls.

C’mon by...I’d like to get to know you better.

Isn’t it obvious?
He hoped the opinion piece would be of sufficient interest to generate a click to his blog. I found it was not since it is rather mundane opinion and contains no new information.
I do not appreciate these tactics from any source. I refuse to take click bait from story lines intended to generate page after page of advertising.
Thank you, HG, for being the watchman at the door. I have often wondered how you do it. You are a machine.

OK so I clicked through just to satisfy my curiosity. The article, one among a stream of bulleted articles, was not excerpted. It was published in its entirety as an excerpt. Does EyesOfTx not know how to post without designating it an excerpt?
