Bingo! Since I am from that area I can speak intelligently about it. The demographics are...it’s Hillary Country. Lots of New York, Jersey, Philly transplants and kids of those transplants. I was one of them, who smartened up. Lots in common with upper middle class suburbs of D.C and that area as far as politics. It’s predictable that most of the folks who are virtue signalling about Douglas HS shooting were either Pink Hat women’s marchers or husbands of said women. I would say the demographic makeup is heavily NE Jewish, Italian\Irish\Eastern European Catholic and mixes of those groups. What is a little sick is them appropriating this issue a reason to bash Trump and for gun confiscation. My Facebook is a wasteland of that, hashtags and people pontificating about how we need to “Do something”..aka an excuse for thinking.

Amen-psychotropic drugs just treat symptoms-they are not a cure-inpatient psychotherapy is not always a cure either, but at least it does take that human IED out of society to be evaluated-I’m all for those who can’t function without going postal to be committed for as many years as are necessary to insure the safety of others-the Florida shooter certainly should have been committed/confined with all the cop calls to his home, the social media posts, threats, etc-he was clearly the danger to himself and others-not the gun....
Do “most” Americans in Pittsburgh Pa, Spark, Nv or Dothan Alabama on a personal level really care about kids in some upper middle class suburb of Fort Lauderdale? Really no. Double edge sword of desensitizing the public with abortion on demand and a nihilistic culture. This shooting will be forgotten in the public consciousness in 6 weeks. I think you meant Mini 14, they use the same round as an AR-15.
M14 is chambered for 7.62x51 and is considerably more effective.
A Mini 30 chambered for 7.62x39 throws a round twice as large as an AR-15 and was not included in the Clinton ban because it isn’t as scary looking.
