There’s a false meme going around Facebook that Flying J was not going to fly the American flag at its truckstops so as not to offend foreign drivers.

Another one of those fake stories in Zuckerborg Land

The boss just walked in and I showed her this article.

She beat me upon my head with my very own IPAD.

She said, “Being a husband is not work. Being a husband is a privilege. Besides, you get lots of great benefits.”

I said, “You mean like a company car?”

She beat me about my head again.

I’m rarely out OTR more than two days at a time anymore, but when I use a truck stop shower I leave $1 tip for the hand that has to clean it for the next customer. It’s a slimy job that I appreciate someone doing.

Is this one of those Zen Koans?

You know, like “What is the sound of one hand clapping?”

I’ll give you the same answer I gave that Zen Master.....

“Whiff. Whiff. Whiff.”

Used to be I’d just stop where ever when on a trip. Then a trucker buddy recommended Pilot/Flying-J. Last trip I used them almost exclusively. Gotta say, they are consistently nice places to stop.

5000 new jobs? Where does Pilot think they will find 5000 people to hire? I work with warehouses and docks that can’t find 5 people to hire and we are talking full time with benefits. Good Luck Pilot.

In our travels we prefer Flying J, especially at night as they will let you park the RV to get a few hours sleep. Food is OK and the staff is very friendly.

Back in my traveling days I stopped at Pilot/flying J frequently. Food, a hot shower and great coffee.
